I am particularly excited to see Frankie and Gethin, two of my all time favourites!

Precisely!

So because you can't box or stereotype him, he should be barred from appearing for all eternity?

Who's to say he won't even win this.?? You saw what a different partner did to Anastacia...

Sorry, but your point contains more holes than a sieve.”

A lot of celebs went home because there was no dance off, every week, every year. That happened to them, it's not a great injustice to go home on the public vote as it used to always happen, and every year people call for it to again when a favourite goes home (ie Pixie).

No, I don't think he should be barred, talk about sweeping statements!
I just don't think he fits in at all with the people they have had back for the Christmas special ever, as is illustrated by a number of posters here saying he stands out from the crowd.

All the best to him, he seems like a really nice man. It's just my opinion on this situation.
Good luck to him, he'll never win it though, if he wins it, PM me your address after, I'll send you £100.

I don't see any holes in my points, at all.

Ok I like Frankie.
But apart from that, is this a poor line-up?
Yesterdays third placers or worse, plus melvin man of doom.

Hardly inspired, BBC......

I think it's a good line up, Ansile will be fun, Pamela was good in her series, so was gethin.

Quite an odd lineup I have to say. What on earth makes them think anyone wants to see Melvin again? He went out first for a reason.

Just saw that Gorka has followed Frankie on Instagram, so it's looking quite likely that they are paired up.

I thought he'd done a Xmas special with Flavia. Found this on YouTube:

He never had an opportunity to improve his dance in the dance off, as Anastasia was ill. I think a nice guesture by the producers.

Sounds likely, assume practice is now starting.

Agreed, Melvin actually scored higher than Anastasia because she was dancing injured.

If they producers can deviate from the norm so he is sent home they can also deviate from the norm to have him in the Christmas show.

They brought back old contestants before, Lisa Snowdon returned last year, along with Harry Judd etc. And then they've had likes of Barrowman and other new one time faces, so suppose they have to mix it up depending on who is available.

Also Children In Need tends to be one off faces (like Rochelle from The Saturdays vs Harry Mcfly; before he going a full series), so maybe it's just diff again this year.

That was only a couple of the years. I think "don't have time to do a full run" actually meant want to be on show for a full series but the producers didn't think they were right.

People like Sue Pollard, Bobby Ball would take anything going, Simon Webb and Fern Britton found the time when they were asked back to do the full series.

John Barrowman would probably be first in the queue if he was offered a full series, he managed to get himself on Dancing on Ice and work it around his acting jobs.

I would like to see John in a full series.

Holly then turns to Melvin and asks him who he's paired up with.

"Janette [Manrara] again," he says, before gasping and saying: "Oh no! I'm not supposed to say!"

Well let's hope they do a ballroom. Anton is quite tall so should be okay height wise.
