Yeah it's probably fair to assume it wouldn't have got through if I'd voted - it's not that I hate it, it's just that I can't make it to the end of the song without nodding off...
![]() Preferred Mads Langer of the four I think. ![]() tbh the shine song is not something i really like but just the thing that i would think would do the best (and it turns out i was right) i have quite an alternative music taste tbh and i dont often send in songs i would actually listen to. |

Good qualifiers so far with the exception of maybe Canada. But I expected that song to qualify so not too fussed.

In the spirit of the end of the year, I did some calculating before the results of DSFE 84 of who I've given the most points to and who's given the most points to me this year. I remember someone (I think it was Terry?) did this last year.
![]() Most points given: 1st: Alexos - 61pts (two 12s) 2nd: Yugimuto1 - 58pts 3rd: BethnalGreen - 54pts 4th: GreekFan - 48pts (one 12) =5th: MiesBouwman - 45pts (one 12) =5th: jackel1234 - 45pts 7th: Lurker62 - 33pts (two 12s) 8th: thengp12 - 32pts =9th: yoshi94 - 31pts (one shared 12) =9th: TerryP - 31pts (one shared 12)
Spoiler
Most points received: 1st: BethnalGreen - 69pts (one 12) 2nd: mikabv - 67pts (one 12) 3rd: Lurker62 - 61pts (two 12s) 4th: Yugimuto1 - 59pts (one 12) 5th: Gwen 404 - 52pts 6th: yoshi94 - 50pts (one 12) =7th: Carlisle156 - 45pts (one 12) =7th: Pooley - 45pts (one 12) 9th: phill363 - 37pts (one 12) =10th: avb - 36pts (two 12s) =10th: GreekFan - 36pts (two 12s) Sad thing about this is that two of my top three aren't participating this edition. ![]()

Hello everyone, this is the second batch of NFs of CofC 2016, voting for the first batch remains open until we get to at least 10 voters, I will not be setting a deadline for votes for this batch, I will again wait until I reach 10 voters and then take it from there.

Camila Cabello - I Know What You Did Last Summer Romania DSFE81 - Cristina Balan - Unbreakable DSFE74 - Letty - Tell Me If You Know Turkey DSFE77 - Elif - Als Ich Fortging DSFE81 - Edis - Olmamis Mi? For the above NFs you have a total of 5 points to allocate, you can award the points as follows: 5-0, 4-1 or 3-2 Voting must be done by PM to me, you can vote for your own song if you like. No deadline but once I reach 10 votes I will decide how much longer afterwards to keep voting open. Keep voting for the other batch as well if not already done so. ![]() TerryP nunaney Lisa.B ChickenFromKiev Cuishla (Partial votes) MiesBouwman Still some way to go to reach the 10 voter minimum. Batch 3 will open this evening. Hopefully the votes will come in a bit quickier as DSFE84 reaches it's final stages. The quicker the NF votes come in the quicker we can move on to the next stages

Urghhh not a single set of those results that I agree with
Canada: Really wanted Emma-Lee to make it here, one of my favourite songs in general this year. The W Darling song was nice enough too though, as were all the entries in this NF. Votes Given to Winner: 1 Faroe Islands: I sort of liked all the songs in this one too, but had a strong preference for Mads Langer. The song that qualified was the worst out of the lot, fairly uninteresting one. Votes Given to Winner: 0 Jersey: Of course I wanted Circa Waves to make it here, but liked Don Broco too. But no, people can only vote for generic pop here and now I might have to listen to that horrible Alarm song again. Votes Given to Winner: 0Shetland Islands: This was one where all four songs were good, although I liked 'The Fog' best. The winning one was my least favourite of the lot (again!) but it's not bad either. Votes Given to Winner: 0 Anglesey: Neither of these was good tbh, but I'm glad it's the somewhat decent one that made it . Votes Given to Winner: 4Azores: Kika . Not that Fingertips was bad, just that Kika was a lot better. Votes Given to Winner: 1Western Asia: Out of all these horrible results this just has to be the worst one. A complete mess of a song (which is kind of promoting war) wins against a great Eden xo one. Really don't understand this. Votes Given to Winner: 0 # of my songs through: 0/1 |

Almost completely uniformity in Batch 1 except for Faroe Islands which should've been Anja or Aura.

9 votes in for Batch 2 from following people
TerryP nunaney Lisa.B ChickenFromKiev Cuishla MiesBouwman Lurker62 Alexos Carlisle156 I am working nights tomorrow and Friday, so I am looking at Saturday evening from these results (I am guessing I will get at least one more voter by then). On Saturday I will open the NFs for the countries eliminated at the SF stage all together and then once Batch 3 is complete I will open the NFs for all countries which made the final. It will mean quite a lot of NFs at once but at least they will be out of the way earlier than usual. |

A lot of batch 3's NFs are really difficult, hoping I can at least make it with Pusula though <3

Just giving this another bump, not had any more batch 2 votes in. Hopefully some of the remaining voters in batch 1 will turn up for batch 2 by Saturday. Also hoping once DSFE84 finishes this weekend/Monday, then more voters will come over here.

So I have not progressed beyond the 9 votes in batch 2. Really hope I can get some tonight as I dont really want to be extending the feadline any more.

Gwen has voted and with mika voting tomorrow that will bring us to 11 voters, so I can close the voting this weekend. I will set the deadline at 8pm on Saturday, but if anyone wants a bit more time I can push back to Sunday.
Remember to keep voting for Batch 3 (as soon as Batch 3 finishes I will open the NF for all countries which made the fina) and Batch 4 featuring all eliminated SF countries will open after Batch 2 results.

So I am coming up with a bit of a schedule now as I am going on holiday on 9th December, so need all the NFs done by the 8th.
Tomorrow I will do Batch 2 results and open batch 4 (losing SF countries) Wednesday I will open batch 5, which will be all countries which made the final and hopefully I can reveal the results of Batch 3 by then as well. I may have to give up the hope of reaching at least 10 votes for each batch, but hopefully the individuals who have voted in each batch will keep voting in the remaining ones. Once we get through to NFs and onto the Rounds, each group will contain a much smaller number of songs, so hopefully votes will increase. For next year we may need to consider some sort of change regarding the country NFs as it is a lot of songs for people to listen to. Anyways, keep voting and tomorrow at 8 voting for Batch 2 will close and results will follow together with the songs for Batch 4. |
