I missed most of the first four series because I didn't have a TV at the time. I don't think I saw anything at all from series 1. I caught odd weeks near the end of both series 2 and 3, including both finals, and a couple of weeks from early in series 4 - my mum became a fan from the outset so I used to see it if we went to my parents' house for tea on Saturdays. I then got a shiny new tellybox of my own in time for the series 4 QF. Since then I've never missed a single episode. I complain about aspects of it from time to time but it's still one of only a handful of TV shows that are appointment television for me.

Started watching in Abbey's year. I'd been put off before that by my low Brucie tolerance. Shameless addict ever since, to the point of hunting for Youtube of earlier series. I love watching the same dramas play out year after year like the seasons passing

Right from the off in series 1 - and pretty much never missed a show.

The first series i watched was the one where Alesha won though i only started watching it half way through. Watched full on the series after.
Wasn't going to watch last year and didn't then Jay did that jive so i started watching!
Now i record it and only watch the dances, Craig and Lens comments and the scores. I hate all the filler.

From about halfway through series 3. Was outraged at the result then and at almost every result since!

I was more of a casual viewer for series 1 and 2. I'd watch it if I was in but wasn't really fussed about missing it.

From series 3 onwards I don't think I've missed an episode, albeit a few I've whizzed through on catch-up.

Watched the show from the start and joined the forum in 2008. For me the two go together to create a whole, the show would not be as good as it is without the opinions and the chat.

From the beginning, although did give up on the year Harry won, but was back the next year

I've watched since the first episode of series 1. It used to be the one show that I would never miss an episode of and if I had to go out on a Saturday I would stay up late to watch the recording no matter how late I got home. That's changed from series 9 onwards and these days If I miss an episode I might catch up days later or not bother at all.

Since year 1. It was so much simpler then.

Chris Parker was genuinely awful, he'd have gone in week 1 now. It was amusing every week the judges almost begged the voting public to vote for anyone but Chris. I am of the opinion that if he had won SCD would have died a painful death.

I even watched the precursor of ITT on BBC 3 with Justin Lee Collins. Thank god they dumped him.

It wasnt until kara tointon year that i was fully involved. Prior to that i would skip Channels between XF and strictly so i only ever got snippets. I always managed to catch the last couple weeks of strictly and the final because XF would have finished. But it was karas year that I decided to dump xf and commit wholly on Strictly....just something about Kartem kept me hooked

I started watching in 2009. Chris and Ola were my favourites...

But I was a naive little child back then.

I've watched every episode since then and will try to carry on doing that

Tolerance is the right word as I always put up with him for the show occasionaly using applying liberal use of FF button when he was doing his links if I wasn't watching live. I saw bits and pieces from the first two series and series two ITT but got seriously hooked during Foxtrot/Paso week in the third series. Some years have been more rewarding and more memorable (not always the same ones) but haven't stopped watching since.

Only watched since 2012 and I love, love, love it.

Two friends have started watching since I drove them nuts by raving on about it.

Regularly since 2008, I think Tom Chambers won it that year. I always go on the year as I usually can't remember the series number!

Since 2006. Since then I've only given up on one year and that was last year.

I first watched Strictly in 2005 - ie Series 3.

I just vote on-line now but of course that option wasn't available then. I didn't phone vote much but I did when Chris Parker was in danger of winning. I remember thinking Natasha just had to win or the programme would be a laughing stock. Anyone who thinks Ed is bad should see Chris, Ed looks like Fred Astaire in comparison!

Series 4, Week 2, first dance I watched was Mica Paris' Rumba. That turned out well.

Watched every week, every series since then.

Casually watched since the beginning because Mum had it on Got into it when Mark R was on and have watched almost all episodes since then.

Gave up on XF about four years ago and have never watched BB so Strictly has a little magic for me.
