Since the very beginning! ALmost stopped watching the year Chris Hollins won as I was so outraged (still not over it lol 
) . In all the series so far, 6 of my faves have gone on to win!

I watched series 3-7, skipped series 8, and have watched ever since series 9. I'd say I started watching it "religiously" (every week, ITT and the forums) from series 10, 2012.

Series five was fab even with Gaby being robbed which she was sorry but she should have got further.
Series six - had the best ending of the lot. It's final dance being the Tomilla showdance - yes that one but it had a lot of sticky bits and most of the latin sucked and the judges vs public opinion hit an absolute nadir with the march of the Sarge and the force feeding of Lisa Snowden down a mostly unwilling audience's (she does have some fans - her ballroom was in fairness mostly at the higher end of that year's spectrum it was just so darn overmarked) throat. It did contain two rhumbas that I loved to bits in spite of them being rhumbas.
And alhough I still don't agree with the Gethinwozrobbed brigade I understand them because I'm still a paid up member of the Austinwozrobbed brigade. I've sort of got over it (his Paso I will now admit was a bit style over substance) but part of me still feels the need to slap down anyone who utters the statement 'Why was Lisa hated?' or 'It's so unfair she was hated' - no it really wasn't.

Alesha as a judge was the ultimate expression of the Peter Principal in motion IMO and boy did it suck.

My brother in law had a girlfriend, who we met one Christmas, and she was okay, way too young for him, and a bit arty farty. Any road up, it turned out that she was a set designer on Strictly, and she brought some water activated fake snow they'd used on the show and SUDDENLY, she was lovely
Needless to say, they didn't last, and she wasn't employed for the next series of Strictly, so we lost touch. Lovely girl, just not right for my BIL

Good for the homophobic mouthbreathers in the audience that they can have a hero I guess, but when the show was actively closeting its gay male dancers at the time and has taken 14 years to cast an openly gay man as anything other than a comic turn to be laughed at, and was as recently as last year releasing press releases saying they wouldn't feature same-sex dancing because it's "a family show" then I don't see it as anything to celebrate at all.

Blame the BBC for that with their ageist views.
The #1 rule in TV is; if you win a TV competition don't go back to that show as a judge/presenter because, as Alesha and Olly Murs both discovered, it doesn't actually do much for your music careers.
I thought Alesha was too generous as a judge. I'm pretty sure Alesha was always the first judge in each of her series to award a 10 because it all seemed a bit forced. I don't think Alesha warranted the role of a judge just because she won the show in the first place.

Didn't really get into it until Rachel + Vincent, Lisa + Brendan, Smug Vicar + Mrs Gallopup series
Did not watch the final that year though, foregone conclusion and real anger that they changed the rules in the semifinal!!!! 😡😡😡😡 sorry, should be over it by now but still haven't watched YouTube clips 😕

Began watching towards the end of 2012, about the place were Fern was eliminated. My favourite was Louis and that turned out well! Oh, and I hated Denise.
2013 was the first time I became fully committed and haven't missed an episode since that year's launch. I will always remember 2013 as my favourite year, so many things went my way! I was hoping Abbey would get Aljaz, then I was hoping they would top the wk1 leaderboard, on Halloween I had a funny feeling that they'd be in the DO, and everyt week after that I never felt they were in trouble. I predicted their swingathon finishing place, I was hoping they'd get a 40, my two favourite dances from them (waltz & quickstep) were in the final again, and they won!!! Oh, and I hated Natalie (Gumede, not the Queen Lowe)
2014 wasn't great. Pixie & Mark were my favourites- look how that turned out; Also, I was raging when Judy made Blackpool over Alison, and, being the 11-year-old immature baby I was, I actually CRIED when Pixie went. Funny thing is though, as soon as Caroline began dancing in Week 1 I was like "Ooh, she'll be better than we thought"! And that turned out well! Oh, and I hated Simon.
I quite liked 2015, I was ok at predicting it that year. I remember one time watching the One Show when Anita was on (talking about mailmen or something), and I randomly out of the blue thought "Hmm, she could do Strictly" even though I had no clue who she was at the time! That was so cool! I literally had to do a double take when she was officially announced! I also had a feeling (/desperate hope) that she would be a dark horse, and she was! Then again, I predicted Jamelia to be a standout dancer that year, so....yup. The only thing I didn't like was how obvious it was Jay would win.
Oh yeah! It was also the year I joined this wonderful place! I signed up in August....and I didn't get approved until December....which also happened to be the week Anita was voted out
Oh, and I hated Kellie.
2016 so far seems really cool! I'm a bit gutted that Anastacia, who was once on of, if not THE most popular contestant, become Jamelia 2.0. Also, I was GUTTED when Laura, my favourite, was eliminated. Well, thats one extra Greg voter now! I am honestly quite liking how there are(/were) like, 10 contenders
I love how unpredictable and competitive it is! Only thing is, I really can't see Danny winning, I'm not sure if he's as popular as people make him out to be.
Oh, and I'm hating Ore.

Glad you're not blaming Greg for Laura's eviction and saying he should be next like some ruddy people
I predicted Laura would be evicted when she got samba it's a hard sell dance especialy on a busted ankle. Giovanni's showboating scoring quite so bad an own goal was unexpected though. It's looking like curtains for Daisy at the mo' but I have been wrong about evictions before. Didn't see Tamika's or Lesley's coming - I thought the later had at least a week or two longer. Predicted Melvin's though - the worst thing you can be on SCD is dull and he was.
I don't hate anyone this year but just out of interest why do hate Ore?
BTW - I have similar levels of love and hatred. They're different ones (I'm sorry but Abbey grated on me like nails down a blackboard) but hey different strokes. Also my young daughter was a little upset when the pop princess Pixie got voted out - she's young and pop princess sounded awesome too her.

Slightly unfair, I never got the impression that Colin was derided in any way. He reached the final, so the public still liked him a lot (and still do).
Gough was such a story because he was so unexpected, a blokey working class Yorkshire fast bowler loving dancing, and being pretty good at it was such shock and great publicity for the show.
On and off since the final amongst Colin, Darren and Zoe - was that 3 or 4? I didn't become invested until the series won by Tom Chambers.
The year Alesha won, 2007 I think? I dropped out halfway through Louis Smith year but returned like a moth to a flame the following season.
