Played by a single sozzled accordion player, it could work... imaginably... conceivably...

I betthe other clifton gets a trad song for her AT”

They've been incredibly lucky so far with music, styling, everything... It's his turn (about time) to get the rubbish.

It really stinks

no one can now persuade me that they are not looking for a Clifton win this year

the favoritisim is blatant, what should have been a show stopper is now ruined by a bloody pop song (a very good pop song in the right place but not a AT)

Jeez Im so bloody pished off

Kevin has partnered a celeb in three ATs only one of which has had traditonal music. I suspect Jo and Ore will avoid the AT. A feeling in my water.

Totally with you on this. So contrived and so controlling of the producers.

I love Marvin Gaye but even he would be staggered to have someone attempt an AT to his music.

Has it been him that's lucky or Louise? I ask because if you remind yourself of some of the songs provided for Kevin with previous partners I would not call him "lucky". I think Jo has been pretty lucky this series.

Charleston - Bad Moon Rising
Argentine Tango - Smooth Criminal
Charleston - Happy Days
Tango - Defying Gravity
Jive - Surfing USA (not the song, but having to include jiving on a flying surfboard)
Paso Doble - School's Out
Samba - Boom! Shake The Room
Foxtrot - Tears Dry On Their Own

Nooo, not a jive. Probably best Marvin Gaye song for a jive is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB5sCP6s120

Totally agree.

I've just tried it and it works

I think it's a tribute to the guy he's actually managed to produce some good stuff to all of those although I'm not sure with Bad Moon Rising if it's because it's not that bad a song or just the execution of what he does is so great but you're right it's a tribute to him and Kellie they made Boom work.

Defying Gravity is on the fav Halloweon thread and watching it I thought it's very good in spite of the totally inappropriate music and that very thing robs it of true greatness.

Why should anybody get rubbish songs and styling?

Oti is happy with training going by her latest tweet. Maybe we should wait and see before we assume that it won't work.

I suppose they have to remain upbeat. She's not going to tweet that the song choice sucks. As a professional dancer, she knows in her heart it's a bad song for AT but she has to go along with it.

Really? He's had loads of excellent music...the Cha Cha, Paso, Quickstep and Jive especially.

Louise has probably had an equal amount of great tracks. Her Charleston and foxtrot choices weren't that good at all to me

I meant Danny and Oti have been really lucky... until now!

Jo's second only to AJ with poor music this year I feel. Tango to 'Geronimo', Charleston to 'I Want Candy'

But really AJ and Claudia have been worst treated.

Maybe but I think that she genuinely feels like its a really good week because she didn't have to tweet anything.

Question: Was Simon and Kristina's song for their AT adapted to fit their dance?

they shouldnt

but there are some who are getting a raw deal this year compared to others

Claudias music has been dire and Daisy's music is dodgy this week

and come on even with the biggest spin ever 'grapevine' is no AT tune

Paradoxically, I feel the only good Charleston music this year was given to Claudia, which is her one good song so far

Given his James Bond looks I thought the AT would be a good dance for Danny so it is a shame about the music. However as others have said they have been lucky with their music in past weeks.

Craig called him the one to beat in the Radio Times and its probably true as he is vey consistent. Will consistent win not sure.
