As promised about two months ago, I have the information I was promised from my source at Vodafone about the up and coming changes to the Pay As You Talk 30-day pack system.

As from 1st of June:

ALL bundles will change from a daily allocation to a 30-day allocation

A new 500 text bundle will be introduced
Pay £15 for 500 texts to use within 30-days - no daily restriction - that's just exactly 3p a text

There is also rumour that Any Time+Any Network bundles will be introduced for PAYT customers too - they're currently toying with the idea of 100 minutes for £12 a month which they believe to be the most competitive in the PAYT market.

Information is from a Vodafone Chief Exec Office employee who for obvious reasons I cannot name.

Looks good, folks!

I'm not trying to start an argument or "whose the best network" thread but you really can't beat O2 online's PAYG sim with 300 free text messages.

Before anyone says yeah but their customer services are poor blah blah, I'm talking about on paper, and the fact I've been with them a year and had little to no problems with them as a network (although I'm not naive of course there are going to be those who do have problems). 300 sms messages or 100 anyone anytime minutes for £10 a month which you then get to use - I challenge anyone to give me a PAYG service which gives you that same value.

I'm not having a go at you. You're just providing useful info and they are good for anyone who can't/doesn't want to be with O2.

I think o2 are excellent aswell I have never had no problems get my free texts and wap. get texts all the time saying free calls on sunday or whatever 10% of my call time back in 3 months. I reckon i save about £60 a month from when i was on orange or one 2 one before it became t-mobile

RE: The above two posters

o2 isn't for everybody, as alot of people desire after the "Exclusive" vodafone handsets such as the Sharp 902 or Sharp GX20/25/30 etc. which means going onto another network is non-too Feasible. (Due to the branding that remains on such handsets)

Now Vodafone customers are given a very competitive alternative to spending £20/£30 unlocking their phones.
