The original is one of the best games of all time. I have the collectors edition on pre-order. Just don't tell Mrs Girth how much it cost!

It's meant to be a stinker. No review copies were sent out. What have they got to hide?

Bethesda has a (stupid) policy of not sending out review copies. We saw from Doom this is no indication of the quality of the game. |

Well guys yet another PC port optimized like crap worse than Mafia 3, the small indie companies do better jobs than this.
I'll wait few days and see if a patch comes, anyone on console how is it? |

^^ Apparently if you have a decent PC it's not so much of problem (like most things) and AMD GPUS are particularly hard hit.

Its not about where I read it, I couldnt read it could I due to review embargos and all that however posts 10 and 12 in this thread sums up what I meant.
![]() Bethesda no longer embargo anything, they just don't give out pre-release review code. Back when I reviewed the first Dishonored, they only dished it out 2 weeks prior to the game, anyway. |

Seems to be mixed to me all I see are GTX 1070 and 1080 issues, it's basically poor all around, but it seems to be a cpu issue more than anything it isn't taking any of the load.
Seems to be AMD cards having the most issues. |

It runs OK for me on a 970 / i5 - 3570. Its not buttery smooth in places, but perfectly playable.
Seems to be AMD cards having the most issues. ![]() I dropped to 22 fps from like 160 fps in the room where the ring is retrieved and died because I couldn't aim lol Then when I made it to the streets it was almost as bad, I really want to play it because it was awesome until then. edit* This is on the lowest settings possible btw

Runs beautifully on a ps4 pro. Smooth and really good fun. I spent a good half hour piling bodies in a shed to see how full I could get it. Answer: very full indeed.

Seems like I was wrong but was basing what I said on AMD PC version but don't mind admitting I am wrong.

I'm really enjoying this despite being so-so on the original. It's pretty damn heard to maintain a stealthy non-lethal play through though, especially in the early levels before you start unlocking powers.
I'm on Mission 5 currently. Does anyone have any tips on dealing with the witches (I think they're classed as witches - the ones who teleport around the place). I don't seem to be able to sneak up behind them and render them unconscious. Are you only able to do so with sleep darts? |

I have to say apart from the performance issues i hear about this game does not disappoint.
I finished the first level having killed Ramsey and all the guards. I thought i had done a pretty thorough job of exploring every nook and cranny, but i decided i want to have a fully low-chaos play thorough so i ran through it again not killing anyone. It was just as much fun the second time and I found loads of things i had missed including one that was mentioned in the mission summary at the end. The level design is simply fantastic. |

i got Dishonored 2 with my ps4 pro, played about 30 minutes, then i thought maybe i should play the first Disonored, so i got the definitive edition, about half way through and seems like a good game.

read an article on eurogamer about how physical sales are down 38% in the uk on dishonored 1. total click bait article made it out to be doom and gloom.

Can anyone confirm if there are big consequences if you kill a lot of people?
Like the city full of rats and everyone having the plague? I enjoyed the original but didn't like that aspect of it (even as the game is very stealthy) |
