Definitely looks like we think it's Daisy's time this week - of the people who've predicted so far only 1 doesn't have Daisy in the DO at all and of the 15 that do, 11 think she'll be gone. Of those that don't, 3 think it will be Greg (having lost to Daisy) and one thinks Ore (losing to Daisy).

Sadly (for me), yes, I do think so. She seems like a completely sweet person, but from what we've seen so far, her latin hasn't been great. I can't see salsa breaking that trend and it's not proving a very lucky dance this series.

Even bigger problem is that she is up against Ed.

Don't think so. Daisy is great. I will be voting for her every week. Surely it should be time for a man to go. A man hasn't gone since Will in week 4. Should be Ed or Greg imo as they are the weakest two tbh

Although I do agree with you, this thread is about what we think will happen, not want.

Highest: Louise (that song's a gift)

Lowest: Ed (but it will be so cringey that public indulgence will only last one more week)

Dance Off: Daisy (I'm doubting Mr Oksana's ability to choreo good salsas) vs Greg (he'll get too poor a score for his fans to save him)

Eliminated: Greg

All the main bookies showing on OddsChecker have Daisy to go.....
Greg is only showing as the 4th possible - after Ed and JR

Because Greg has supporters who'll keep him in, most on here are just wanting him out and not being realistic.

Sadly I can see Ore being bottom two again with his rumba. If he is then I'd like it to be against Greg, as Greg is my favourite of the celebs remaining. I would love for Daisy to get to Blackpool.

I think if Ore was against Greg, Ore would be saved

Just speaking for myself I really like Greg, it's not that I want him to go. It's just that I think they'll be manoeuvring for a bloke to go. Going on the polls and everyone I know just personally, I think Danny has huge support, Ore will get a b2 bounce and men very rarely go on the rumba (is my impression), the Judge has got that whole storyline of dancing the foxtrot for his grandparents, leaving Ed or Greg. It could be either (I keep getting flashbacks of Jeremy not getting to Blackpool) but I think of the two it is more likely to be Greg. I'm not convinced the paso will suit him. If he had a dance he could smile in, like a charleston, I'd be more confident. But I very much hope it will suit him.

I think it will be really rough on whoever of this group doesn't get to Blackpool .

Your impression is pretty accurate. In all 14 series, Paul Daniels is the only male celebrity to be eliminated on rumba alone. A few others (Jason Wood, Kenny Logan, Roger Black, James Martin) have gone out when they had it in combination with another dance, but it's a very safe dance for men, probably perversely because they constantly highlight how dangerous it supposedly is.

I don't agree with all the 'it should be man to go' rhetoric. Why? Quite often there isn't gender balance as one gender or the other has dancers who are more entertainting/better than the other. Year 11 was year of the woman and for the last few years there have been more women than men in the finals. Only two years ago was the balance exact two men, two women and frankly it was wrong because Mark Wright ought to have gone in the semis not Pixie Lott. A lot of the women this year have been technically ok but not great performers if the public isn't behind them because frankly they find them a bit dull than why should that be an issue.

Just to play devil's advocate though I don't think there are many paso eliminations either Dom Littlewood and Tim Winnacott spring to mind but that's still only two. The samba is quite a common one to be eliminated on and I think the salsa's record is bad too.
