This has been happening for a few weeks now . We changed providers from Talk Talk to BT back in July and for the first few months everything was fine . However over the last few weeks my IPAD has had regular signal outages (sometimes it can be as much as twice a day ) . The odd thing is my laptop is unaffected .
I spoke to someone yesterday and the recommended doing a BT Hub wholesale test which I have done results as follows

download speed 17.33
upload 7.73
ping latency ( whatever that is ) 41.63

Also my Hub is pretty near my ipad so am not entirely sure why this is happening . Any help would be grateful received thank you

A common pair of solutions for iPad network errors is to...

(You will need the WiFi security password for both these.)

1/ Try "forgetting" the network and reconnect.

2/ Do a Network reset on the iPad

Do 1 first and only do 2 if you don't have any joy with 1. NB 2 will wipe all network data from the iPad so if you use it on other WiFi networks with saved passwords you will need to reconnect all of those and re-enter their security passwords as well so only do it if you can recall all necessary network details.

Instructions with lots of pictures

Check out the BT Community forums for this issue:

As you will see this is a recurring post. The bottom line is that the BT Hubs are not as good as BT would have you think and there have been many problems reported and not just with Apple devices. It may be that you would be better off ditching the BT hub for a suitable product from one of the major manufacturers. Many have already followed that route with success and improved connectivity.
