I never thought i'd even ask this question and I hope to god this doesn't happen!! But since her popularity has risen in the past couple of weeks, I have been wondering what will Simon do if Honey G actually won? Does the winner's contract say they have to allow the winner to record an album?

I genuninely think Simon wont know what the hell to do with her. Even releasing a covers album isn't gunna be straight forward as there's not many rap songs she could
cover [if she ruins any Eminem songs i'll hit the roof!] And even if Simon did allow her to record an original album, I cant see many rappers/producers that wouldn't want to be seen alive working with her. Even the winner's single, what are they gunna do??

I used to find the whole Honey G thing funny but now she's really annoying me now. There's lots of talented female [and male obviously] rappers out there and I just feel shes taking the p--- out of the whole rap industry now. And as much as it pains me to say this as I've always loved Sharon and she has always been my favourite judge and I love her even outside of X Factor, I must admit I have lost so much respect for her this series and unfortunately that's purely all down to this Honey G fiasco. I still love and respect her outside the X Factor in terms of the life challenges she has faced with Ozzy and cancer etc. But in terms of professionally and with X Factor/Honey G, I feel like she is taking the p--- now. Lets be honest, its obvious she doesn't give a crap about Saara and with Honey G, its a joke now

It would be a step up from Matt Terry, but still awful.

Hope she does win it, for too long X Factor has been ramming generic crap down peoples throats and it's about time there was some kind of diversity on the programme. She's shockingly bad but there's nothing else on the show that rises above mediocrity.

Providing people buy her music, I don't think Simon would mind that much. She's somehow become very popular with viewers. Will the popularity last? I don't think so. She should try and make as much money as fast as she can because the popularity/novelty will wear off (might do) by the time the next series arrives.

Seriously? Saara is leagues ahead of the rest when it comes to vocals.

To be honest if you put Saara in another year her faults would be a much bigger deal than they are in this series because everyone is either so bad, or deeply flawed which Saara does fit into the latter.

Yes she can sing ok but so can thousands of others but there's no personal identity about her or any of the others, it's all very generic karaoke, singing other peoples songs and who can hit the highest decibels, it's a very tired format that people have got bored with. Honey G is atrocious but at least it's different.

Well, I'd rather see Honey G win over Matt Terry.

She would be remembered more in years from now whether for bad or really bad reasons.

Two thirds of the viewers from 12 years ago have learned to use the off button. It does seem that Cowell hasn't learnt anything though.

I'd be very interested to see the winner's contract. All record deals usually include a get out clause, that if the artist doesn't deliver acceptable material within the agreed initial timeframe they don't have to release anything. They might have set a standard budget for each winner and the artist will have to do what they can with it, including writing, producing, recording and mastering. I doubt they would bother doing much artist development with her.

I can't believe that we're talking about it like it's between them two to win.

Both will cause a ratings drop as Matt is more or less the same as nearly every other X Factor winner, and Honey G might just be a step too far in the other direction.

Honey G could be The X Factor's Helen Wood for people if she were to win.

I have a feeling that she might have topped the votes at least once and it's why the judges have taken a more positive approach (including standing ovations) because they'd have a serious issue if they were slating her all the way through and she won. All of the other joke acts have had criticism from the judges but she's had none.

Let's not forget who finished second last year!

Simon couldn't give a crap either way. He will still make a bucket load of cash. Sign whoever this years chosen one is and out his effort behind them. Make a gimmick album with Honey G and then there will be the usual 'parted ways'.

The only winner there's ever actually been from the X Factor is Simon Cowell.

Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with that. He's in business after all. But don't think for one second that he gives a toss who the actual winner is because whatever happens he will be richer by the end of it.

I can feel a possible Honey G Christmas number 1 this year.

Hopefully she wins as it's absolutely farcical that these so called Judges praise her performance. It's no wonder that this Series has not delivered the ratings it should have. They blamed the poor ratings last year on the presenters and Judges, they replaced said judges/presenters and yet its still flopping. Who will they blame this time?

First Brexit, now Trump. Honey G winning X Factor? Why not? Reggie and Bollie almost won last year amidst a slew of forgettable contestants and a poor year for ratings. I heard Casualty beat X Factor last week! This year the situation has arguably got worse with the exception of the presenters and judges.

Honey G would be a win for those that can't stand the show, just another way of kicking Cowell up the backside. Thats the mind set people have when voting for her!

At the end of the day we all know that Matt Terry is nailed on for the win which is just so predictable and boring. (Wouldn't it be nice to have a closer race than this),

Honey G won't win she may not even survive this weekend who knows.However the longer she remains on the show it at least makes things interesting, If/when she gets booted out, the show will be so boring.

Much more than that. Not many people out there can sing like her.

Saara's been given songs which really didn't suit her at all. Unfortunately her mentor doesn't really like her/isn't taking to her, though she's doing well at trying to hide it. I mean, come on...giving Saara a Lady Gaga song? Nothing wrong at all with Lady Gaga's songs, just that they really aren't suited to Saara. Saara is more suited to long note songs. I'm assuming it's the mentors that choose the songs.

But everyone with the exception of Matt Terry and Honey G has had inappropriate songs at the lives, not just Saara, I definitely sense the feeling that the mentors don't give a crap about any of the contestants this year.

I agree with you that the Gaga song choice was awful for Saara, but to be honest the only one that even remotely suited her at the lives was Bijork, which at least she got a song that suited her even if it was one because there are people still in the competition that have not sung in their genre once and we're at the top 7 which they should've sung within their genre by now.

And sadly for Saara it isn't the mentors picking the songs for her, it's the production behind the scenes who are faceless to the audience and they'd rather keep it that way so they don't get all of the negative press that the judges get for "bad decisions" being made.
