The only plus point for Jay is that he wasn't fiddling with Mrs Simpson.

Has the BBC got a thing about undertakers stealing from dead bodies? There was a similar storyline in Doctors last week.

What a scumbag Jay is.
I empathised with him when he resorted to dealing earlier this year, but stealing from Billy, Whitney & Lee and now that dead woman's rings I can't defend. |

Lots of good little family / character moments tonight.
Osman is totally gonna try it on with and or tell Whitney the truth about Lee's job. Can't see 'em meeting just once. Oh, if Libby only knew about Denise's baby daddy... ![]() ![]() ![]() And oh my, good luck getting out of that one Jay! |

That was another absorbing episode.
I think the D*ckhead of Oz is going to be the one to push him over the edge - probably by making his life at work a misery by telling everyone or Whitney herself. I feel for Lee, I really do. Depression is a terrible illness and even though he has a soulmate to share his bed with and a loving family he just cannot see how very lucky he actually is through all of the pain. The fog of misfiring chemicals in his brain simply will not let him. Jay has always been a fundamentally decent young man but is stooping so very low now, stealing from the dead - even the Philth has not done that yet (although he will be nicking some poor bugger's liver very soon). I am so glad Jamie is actually being given something to do at long last - I think that he is a cracking actor. SOC is doing a very good job so far. |

I enjoyed tonight's episode and I couldn't really fault it apart from the ending scene but overall it was alright. Kathy is a watchable character and I'm pleased they have rejuvenated her and the writers have a better understanding of the character and it's hard to imagine her as a very meek and timid woman a few months ago. I missed her old personality and I'm pleased she's herself now. I chortled when Martin mentioned that incident last year. I also admired her scenes with Libby and thought she gave some great advice to her.
The destruction of Jay's character continues and I was dismayed at him for stealing the lady's wedding ring, Sadly he's desperate to repay money to the drug-dealer but stealing from a corpse is unacceptable. I hope Will tells Billy and Honey the truth and I'm very disappointed in him ![]() Enjoyed Denise and Libby's scenes. Donna's statement about the baby not being a Mitchell was amusing and I can't wait for the fallout when everyone finds out the entire truth. 8/10

The episode was a big improvement on Tuesday's boring offering. The scene with the league table at Lee's works was humiliating to watch. It was like a morbid version of The Apprentice. His boss is a bloodlcaat, but as mentioned on this forum in the Lee thread it's a high pressure environment. Osman may have the gift of the gab, but put him somewhere without the intensity of this work he would be small-fry. It's not the right environment for Lee whatsoever. The scene with Whitney at his offices and speaking to Os was awkward. It's a pride issue - and depression does distort perspectives in life. Whitney can't be that gullible, as mentioned why doesn't she get work and Lee just takes a bit of time out to be strong.
A lovely touch with Jay and Will building the model plane. So sad and low with the nicking of the ring off the dead corpse. Addiction does destroy lives, and the ones who make the money off others misery such as dealers just causes people to turn to thieving and other crimes. It's easy to call people junkies and what have you, but the majority do want to get off the drugs and I think the sentences for drug dealing are laughable. I do think it's character assassination with Jay, but that cow Star is to blame for his downfall. It was good scenes with Billy and Mrs Simpson's son too. Libby - considering she's clever, she doesn't know the concept of pregnancy. The vegan food was a bit patronising to her Mum and Patrick. You can't force diets on to people. I think the talk with Kathy who has bought the Kathy I remember in the 1980s and 1990s did make her realise. I did like the banter with Carmel and Denise. Good friendship they have. As for her staying indefinitely, I can abide her....in small doses. I'm glad Roxy has bonded with Amy, but I think Ronnie is right - she is only eight so it doesn't matter what you buy her. What she needs to do is look on Ebay or shop around for a doll's house. I'm sure there is some toy stall hidden away on the Square. Cassandra / Geraldine and Kathy causing a furore at the community centre was laughable. I think she should be a permanent character with a family ![]() 7/10 - Decent episode. |

How has Billy not noticed the money going missing from the funeral home yet?! I know he's not the sharpest, but come on, it's been weeks!
