I just can't take to him...sly braggart with no real backbone.
Odd thing he reminds me of someone, but can't remember who now. Just something about the face. Think you're right re sly. Maybe hiding a big secret

Lot of Reds for Bex....but she shouldn't care

LOL, I was there last year (in a bit better condition weather wise) would have been hilarious if I had come across Apprentice candidates on my holiday. Sadly, I was there 11 months to early.

To be fair to Rebecca, she did put herself forward very strongly for project manager of the jeans task and only lost out because of Jessica's 'show of hands' trickery.

Why don't they just go to a 24 hr Tesco Extra with a home section to get the tagine?
That's what I was thinkIng, and they had to drive through Brixton to get to and from Streatham, surely someone must have figured it could be a good place to buy African soap.

I think common sense flies out the window when they go on that show, unless they're generally like that in general (worrying thought).

ETA: I often wonder why they don't ask the price when on the phone, gives them time to work out if A) it's worth the time and effort B) if can find cheaper C) all decide on an appropriate negotiating price beforehand - would save all the arguments.

I thought Karen was pretty harsh on Alana; a few series ago Roisin flirted with the vendor and got a big discount and she was very impressed.
Yep, I was remembering that too. Surely being a good salesperson means you adapt to whatever approach is going to work in any given situation.

Poor Alana and Jessica. Alana did well to defend herself.

Has it been explained why they are having to do this task during the night? Not sure if it was explained at the beginning, but it seems very odd to do shopping when most places are shut.
Which is the point, to make life difficult for them isn't it?

Where does Brady expect them to go for bagels in the middle of the night? There's the 2 bagel bakeries near each other in Brick Lane.
Like she's ever ventured out of doors in London after midnight

Rebecca used three different pronounciations of tagine on the phone so no wonder she was fired.
I don't like Frances (brunette in the red dress). She's obnoxious.

anyone think this task would've been better in the day time? it just seems quite dull and uninspiring trying to get items in the night time. The empty night streets of london killed the episode and vibe.

I love it when a team has lost. They all start to blame each other
Haha! So they do! Never really noticed that much before.

I also love it when a team has lost because they all have to sit in that awful looking caff while the other team get amazing treats.

I assume you are being ironic. Most weeks, the Bridge Cafe looks the better deal, even if nobody's got the bottle to order a full English.

Anyway; what's more important - buying cheap or negotiating skills? Surely you can't (necessarily) have both.

It's better to buy something for 4p and take 30 secs to do so, than use your skill to spend an hour in talking somebody down from £100 to £17.50

Well.... aye, I might've been.

I agree, I wouldn't thank you for some of those treats. Going to a fancy house to play croquet? Yawn, I'll have a cuppa tea, some fried bread, tamahtas, mushies, a veggie sausage and scrambled egg instead please and thank you!

If the team fails to find an item, how does Lord Sugar decide how much the fine is?

I'm guessing it was a night time thing so they could get the flowers and fruit from New Covent Garden market which I think opens at 4am. I spent most of the programme thinking the hairy fruit was going to be a type of fish and they'd also need to get to Billingsgate.
