This apparent "dark" storyline has turned into a complete farce. It will be looked back on as a joke once over.
Filled with the typical cliches and scenarios. Of course Aidan had to go and stay with Maria rather than her just getting the locks changed, nothing to do with pushing them closer together leading to an affair.
Aidan dumps the bloody scissors in a bin outside the factory in which we all know will be found.
The police are arseholes once again (is there not one decent police officer in Weatherfield?)
Maria having a breakdown and sending creepy texts to Tyrone must mean she is capable of violence and killing and disposing of a body. Of course the two idiots Fiz and Tyrone don't remember their plight with Kirsty Soames. In fact, no one on the street seem to recall the fact god knows how many of their neighbours have been basically harassed and wrongfully accused by the Weatherfield plod in the past.
In other contrived moments, Gary and Sarah decide to snog out on the balcony despite claiming they want their relationship to remain a secret, and of course Bethany happens to spot them.

Last night's episode was a little disappointing in places for me after Wednesday night's excellent offering!!
The first scene was a little bit flat for me after that electric scene when Maria found the scissors at the end of the previous episode, and the bit where Aidan shoved them in his pocket & walked out looking guilty as hell just as the police arrived, before dumping them in the factory bin of all places, descended into farce a bit!!
That said I am LOVING the chemistry forming between those two in the current crisis & am still suitably 'creeped out' every time we see Caz watching Maria's every move on her webcam!! I can gorgive all the SORs (well most of them) because I am enjoying the s/l for what it is, a soap storyline, no more or less unbelievable than most others & the fact that it's giving Maria/Samia her first big s/l in years!! Looking forward to things getting even worse for Maria next week!!
The poker game was one big soap cliche but it was nice to see the smirk wiped off Phelan's face for once!!
Sarah/Gary is a great combination & adding Bethany's crush on Gary into the mix adds to the interest!!
Enjoyed the Anna/Kevin reunion scene!!
Tracy /Luke was every bit as cringe making as I expected it to be!!

Yes you are right, I was harsh on Tyrone.
I am surprised Fiz wasn't suspected when the bloody carpet was found in the back ginnel, it is her MO after all.
