It reminds me of that 90s Sandra Bullock film While You Were Sleeping where Sandra kept visiting a guy in hospital who she used to admire from afar whilst working at a train station and pretended she was the guy's girlfriend to his family.
Its also similar to an episode in the first season/series of Friends where a guy that Phoebe and Monica were eyeing up got run over in front of them and they visited him in hospital whilst he was unconscious.
As to where this Finn/Kasim storyline is going, god only knows.

I have been trying to think of the name of that movie since this Finn story started so thanks
I don't see how this is going to work out in Finn's favor, How does he even know this guy is gay? Did he have a rainbow or HRC bumper sticker on his car?
I have no idea where it's going, but I'm enjoying it, it's intriguing.
I'm still in shock he's actually got a storyline after 3 years.

He said today that in the car was a Kylie CD and wondered if that made him gay lol.
I'm so intrigued by what's happening but none of the spoilers for the next few weeks even mention Finn

It wasn't quite written that badly, the stereotyping was mentioned and it didn't seem as bad as it sounds on paper.

I can kind of understand it from Finn's perspective though because all he wants to know is if he is or not and and since he's not waking up is no way that he can find out.
So I think he's just clinging to every bit of information he does have about him and the CD is one part of that. But of course he knows as well as everyone else that there is no indication of his sexuality.
It will be really sad if he waits around for ages and then he does wake up and it turns out he's straight and has a girlfriend.

Maybe his family doesn't know what happened to him, since he is Middle Eastern its possible his family is in another country and might not be able to get in contact with him easily.

They spoke when Aaron tried using Finn to make Robert Jealous and Finn seemed to be done with Aaron at that point so you're right about them not being friends.
