Who would you pair Ross with then?
I don't particularly like Ross but I do think he's better when he's unattached. He seems to lose his sense of humour when he's with someone.

Like everything else on the show, then.

I've missed quite a few epis, but as far as I can tell, this is another storyline that's just been cobbled together on the back of a fag packet. Kasim's a blank slate with no character and no realistic reason to be in the village. Finn's suddenly become a creeper and a virginal clingy weirdo, for no particular reason. They're on, they're off, no one really knows why. Tracy's very special brand of shite has been liberally sprayed all over it.

Seriously, waited 3 years for Finn to get a story and this is the best they can do? Meh. Next.
It's s a shame. Finn is a likeable character - kind-hearted, intelligent but he's coming out very badly from this. Kasim' s reasons for being in the village are very contrived. Ok he doesn't talk to his family but seriously, no friends, no job, no life to go back to? Where s his money coming from? For someone apparently totally on their own, with no one to care, he' s very happy and well balanced!

Kasim does seem completely one-dimensional and his interactions with Finn lately are stilted and forced... but I assume that's mostly intentional. Finn isn't really into Kasim, he just wants a boyfriend to love and be loved by. Pretty much anyone would have done.

I don't know if Finn will go full Emma or instead realize what he's doing and stop?

Agree with all this. The writers have not fleshed out Kasim's character enough up to now and should provide more realism by getting him to make more references to his family/job/social life and somehow get him a job in the village or beyond so he can continue to subsist by staying in an expensive B and B.. Unfortunately, has been made a very unrealistic character in unrealistic circumstances by the writers.

I think he' s going to do this. Just a shame Kasim' s s been written as a blank slate. Probably this is so we'll re not bothered when Finn kills him In the writer's s minds anyway

Oh, I still like Finn, he's all right. In spite of their determination to write him as a creeper. [rollie eyes]

Poor doe-eyed personality-free Kasim, he's only just woken up and you've already killed him off.

I have the feeling that with Finn going all Single White Female and Emma lurking, Kasim' s days could be numbered I' m sure as far as the writers are concerned it doesn't t matter if you kill off glorified extras. Kasim' s sole purpose is to be the object t of Finn' s and potentially Emma's s obsession.

Aw man, poor doomed Kasim. I was hoping him and Leyla would bring Crazy Emma daaaahhhhn.

I also thought his sole purpose was to give Aaron and several other male members of the cast severe hair envy, but there you go.

If I absolutely had to then Chrissie.

Or even Carly - they worked well together before.

I don't think he needs to be paired up though, he's interesting enough on his own. Besides, it's going to take some doing to do better than Ross/Donna.

I agree that he doesn't need to be paired off with anyone, but if he was then it would have to be Rebecca IMO. Ross and Chrissie would be a bit too volatile and destructive, it would probably get boring after a few months.

Although I' m not impressed with Leyla ' battling for her man' , I WOULD like to see her being the one to take on Emma. I think Leyla's s really fun to watch in general and her in full- on war with Emma would be fun! Just a shame they' re basically fighting very a bloke

For the record, sex with Chrissie would never get boring. Ever. Please don't say that again.

Deffo, this would be awesome. I really can't tell how this Emma thing is going to finish at all at the moment.

Just watching now, and Kasim definitely seems to be legging it swiftly from poor wee Finn. What a weird story. Got a feeling Emma might be about to tie him up in the basement.

I honestly thought (and if I'm honest - hoped) that Emma was going to push Kasim over that old viaduct!

I also thought she might threaten Kasim with the same thing. Is that the same viaduct that Ross dangled Pete over the edge of last year?

I haven't watched yet, but I'm looking forward to that - wee Finn, arms flapping, going full tilt, while Kasim' s thinking ' If I can just make it to the main road, some kind soul might stop and save me from this madness. Got to...Keep....Running....'

So did I! My palms were sweating. Never go on a high bridge with Emma.

Ha! Well, I won't tell you what happens.

But this story has been the weirdest damn thing. Built up way too fast like a big romance, then ... nada. Thought Kasim might have seen Emma but ... also nada. The whole thing seems completely pointless. Did they change their mind or something?

Weird, I'm telling ya.

Robert? He was practically begging to get back into her knickers!

He only gave up because he got caught shagging Waaron and she kicked him out for good.

Chrissie is Hot Stuff.

Still don't want her with Ross though, not as a proper couple anyway.

Did anyone notice that Emma took Kasim to the same bridge that Ross hung Pete off? Mother and son thinking alike.

Indeed. As for Andy, we all know he likes his women older *cough* Bernice *cough*. No bad reflection on Chrissie. But some men can't resist a good mother figure .

Finn is fantastic!
I don't know if he is gay in real life but he is all that is likeable....... he is good to know whether you are gay or straight.
Kashim? Well he needs to get that bloody head of hair given a good trim!

LOL It wasn't the sex, it was the fear of losing the money and prestige.

Robert wanted Aaron for sex and Chrissie for her bank balance 😎
