They're hardly friends, but they have friends in common. They don't hang out, but they seem fine with one another.

Kasim will likely be an eyewitness to the Emma and James saga and eventual love interest for Finn, but it's a little creepy if Finn is already thinking of him in terms of boyfriend considering the only thing Finn knows about the guy is he's in a coma and has a Kylie c.d in his car.

I think it's also to do with the fact his Dad died, and since Finn rescued Kasim in the crash, he wants him to survive - or needs him to - to be a small mercy? But his feelings are getting the better of him; he's fantasising about who he might be. He could be in for a real fall, if he's not a nice person (gay or not) or just not interested.

However it could get very interesting if they get close while Kazim is in the hospital, then when he eventually introduces him to the family, Kazim recognises Emma Imagine if Emma then bumped him off?

It would be nice to see Finn happy, he's so unlucky in love. But that is also very realistic unfortunately for young gay guys, especially straighter acting ones.

Right now, I think the most likely story to develop is that Kasim saw Emma and James fight on the bridge. He tells Finn when he wakes up (not knowing that Finn is their son), leaving Finn burdened with the truth but unable to make up his mind about sending his own mother to jail and causing more grief for his family.

Finn has always been the most suspicious when it comes to Emma's state of mind, he found out about her stealing Chas' passport and all that. He just always forgave her, but I doubt he could forgive her for killing James.

Regarding the love interest angle, I actually hope Kasim won't turn out to be gay and single and into nerds. As much as I'd love for Finn to finally get some action, this would be so contrived and as others have said, more that slightly creepy. Maybe Kasim - who clearly doesn't live in Emmerdale - could introduce Finn to a few new people?

True! But Finn is generally a really nice lad, he's a bit wet but essentially he tries hard to be good to people, and always tries to do the right thing. He's polar opposite to Aaron and Robert and most people see him as just dull.

I agree with the other poster who mentioned that Finn would in reality be quite unlucky in love, he's just not got any edge to him and whilst on paper, he's actually a decent catch, in reality he'd be a bit of a doormat to most other gay men. Aaron is an example of this, he seduced Finn and got what he wanted from him then was actually quite cruel in how he cast him aside.

I'd actually quite like to see Finn develop his own business and have success in that way, and find an equally succesful and loving partner. I'm not sure we've ever had a professional, decent, stable gay couple in ED before?!

I wouldn't say creepy, misguided and slightly desperate but that's Finn all over!

Finn wouldn't think twice about grassing Emma up IMO. He is quite an emotional character, he doesn't really think things through. Obviously he loves his mum, but I don't think a moral character like Finn would keep quiet. I think Ross is the obvious candidate to find out first, he is the only one who loves his mum more than his dad.

Yes, it would be nice to see Finn get more self esteem and confidence A successful business could be just what he needs. He's s such a nice lady, I hope they can develop him as a long term character.

I like the idea of Finn visiting Kasim as he helped him in the crash and wants to make sure he is ok. And if nobody else is visiting him then he probably feels bad for Kasim so keeps going back.
But the fact he fancies him and is wondering if he is gay is creepy. Would he be visiting still if the person in a coma was female, an older male, or a less attractive male?

I would prefer Finn just to be visiting because it is a nice thing to do, then when Kasim wakes up they build up a friendship which may later become romantic.

Yeah at least the bloke can't run away or tell Finn to bugger off while he's in a coma.
