It is a bit of a shock. Mind you, maybe Larry is abouto to cark it and we don't know.

"Ronnie, don't go, I love yo- uuueeeeerrgggghhhhhh........."

Aw. Lawrence has tested my patience sorely at times, and I haven't a clue what Ronnie's hanging around for apart from the never ending drama, but I do like Ronnie.
Oh no. Don't say that!

It's about time Lawrence was happy and I'm glad we're going to see him happy in his own skin. Finally.

Ronnie obviously hung around in the hopes Lawrence would come around

Of course kasim turns out to be gay. Can't imagine anyone thought different once we find out finn has been visiting him.
Is it so unbelievable?

I am glad that Finn is getting a love interest. Hopefully, Kasim can make him interesting and he will need someone when the truth comes out about his crazy mother.

As for Lawrence, poor Ronnie he can surely do better.

It may be statistically unlikely but I don't see it as a major issue. I'm so pleased to see a romance blossom with Finn.

When the spoilers were released I was quite choked to see it confirmed they were gonna be a couple

Let's just say Ronnie is more patient than I'd ever be. Hope Lawrence turns out to be worth it.

And me. The animosity he put up with... I don't know how he did it. Lovely man.

I think it's pretty cool that Emmerdale will soon have three m/m couples on the show. Surely that's got to be a soap first?

He's seemingly waited close to 40 years nobody is worth that I wonder if he has his own family or just waited, pining for Lawrence similar to how Bex appears to have done for Robert. Social opportunities obviously don't exist beyond the village, relatives and former flames wait in some purgatorial realm awaiting the call.

Could be, although Hollyoaks have featured plenty of m/m (and f/f) couples.

But some would still whinge about it, regardless.

I'm sure Ronnie's had a life, and other partners and experiences. Maybe just nothing compared to Lawrence. *breaks into Sinead O'Connor*

True, but I can't think of a time they were all together at the same time on Hollyoaks. Pretty good either way tho.

Meanwhile he seems to have forgotten that he has a business to run, and presumably a home elsewhere? Maybe the B(&B are giving him mate's s rates now? Or are we to assume he's s moved back home but is just visiting the Woolie in his spare time? Could he be that rare creature - a regular character who lives outside the village, but visits for employment, recreational or personal reasons?????Could such an exotic being exist?

I might be wrong (no change there then!) but didn't Lawrence employ him to work on the tree-house or whatever it was that Chrissie and Andy were doing? And I think (again I may well be wrong) that he also was paying for Ronnie to stay at the B & B?

I got the impression when Ronnie first arrived that he didn't really have a permanent home for some reason and just went round doing building work as and when he could. He doesn't even seem to have a van!

I've realised I never really thought about this. I have no idea where Ronnie lives! He just keeps popping up.

He does / did have a van - I'm pretty sure Lawrence shot the windows out of it at some point.

Yep - nothing signifies gay men in love more than violent behaviour.

I like Ronnie as a character - do I want him to get with Lawrence, hell no, I want him to have some level of personal dignity & tell Lawrence and his petty family to take a bloody long hike into the unknown.

That would actually be pretty funny.

"Ronnie, I ... love you."

"Mate, I've waited for you for 40 years, and now I've realised you're a bit of a prong. Bye!"

Currently there's Ste/Harry, John Paul/James.

Esther/Kim seem to be on and off at times, so yeah, it does seem like Emmerdale might slightly have them beat for now with Aaron/Robert, Lawrence/Ronnie and Finn/Kasim.

Ronnie should win the lottery, buy Home Farm and turf that lot out. He's way too good for any of them.

Everyone who lives in Emmerdale, or is associated with it, has a field of criminal activity (well, we don't have any low down on Ronnie yet, but I'm sure that there must be something in his history ). Even the saintly Finn has form for fraudulent use of credit cards and handling stolen goods . So, I wonder what Kasim's field of criminal activity will turn out to be? Serial killers of gay men have been in the news lately, or perhaps he's just returned from fighting for ISIS in Syria!

Yes! He could gather Emmerdale's finest minds around him to help run the business. Finn. Leyla. Megan. Possibly Priya. OK, they're not that fine as minds go, but they'd make a beautiful team.

Actually, they'd be a bit like Charlie's Angels. Ronnie's Angels. With Finn playing Bosley.

I'm taking this idea a bit far, I'll stop.

I like the sound of Ronnie's Angels - much more fun & interesting than the OTT crew who are stinking up the joint at the moment

Or Ronnie and Lawrence could marry, with Lawrence immediately kicking the bucket, so as his husband, Ronnie, inherits and kicks the scheming daughters and grandson to the curb, leaving them homeless and penniless.

Ronnie then turns Chrissie's Adventure Park into Hot Gay Otter Land. Business doubles overnight.

While they're not busy with their Businessperson of the Year Awards they could be a crack crime fighting team P!entry of work for them in Emmerdale

Should I be worried for Yorkshire's otter population?

Back to Finn and Kasim..........

There has been quite a bit of focus on Finn talking to Kasim, and whilst we haven't been privy to every conversation we have now, on 2 occasions, heard Finn talk openly about the suicide verdict............and express his absolute disbelief at the verdict. He knew his Dad inside out, James raised him.

There is a lot to be said that hearing remains a key sense in the unconscious patient. Who knows what will remain in Kasim's subconscious when he awakens.........he will be key to the truth coming out before poor Finn drives himself absolutely mad!!!
