ED: The hypocrisy of the Whites astounds me
Trying to brush all of 'Lucky's' misdemeanours under the carpet yet they expect everyone else who commits a crime against them to pay.

Honestly the Sugdens won the title of biggest hypocrites in this episode.
They're all on the warpath demanding that Lucky confess to his heinous crimes, yet not one of them seems bothered that Robert wasn't punished for killing Katie only last year. Not to mention Andy set up the shooting on Robert, another unpunished crime to add to the list. |

The whole thing is dumb, why did chrissie feel the need to let Andy know exactly what she had done. if she didn't do that her son would never have been at risk in the first place. |

All of the Whites except Rebecca are crooks
Well it would not surprise me if we hear that Rebecca was a Prostitute and was also a World famous Drugs Cartel who is on the run from the FBI

Good point they could also state the staged burglary.

There's no tension or suspense at all, it just goes round in circles. We all know Andy's name will be cleared, but Kelvins not coming back for now so why should we care anyway? Plus I'd like to watch the Whites without Robron anywhere near them and from I've saw Robron fans would like that as well |

The whole storyline is full of hypocrites.
Robert looking down his nose at Lachlan and calling him a 'parasite' when he bumped Katie off and was as cool as a cucumber after doing it. Not so long ago Robert couldn't stand Andy. In fact Andy's the reason he got shot. I'm a little bit behind (beg. of this week) but it's just the same scenes on a loop (as is much of Emmerdale these days). |

I don't know why people seem to struggle with what happened between Katie and Robert- people seem to love to distort the facts and make out Robert killed her callously in cold blood- He pushed her out of his way, his intention was never murder. It was an unfortunate accident what happened to her. In the aftermath of course he was quite cold and devious about covering it up. Murder implies intent- he accidentally killed her, there is no way he could of know that shoving her out of his way would have resulted in her death. |

This is blatantly not true.

I'm actually quite enjoying the grudge between each family. We all pissed our pants in our house when Diane was hobbling up the drive in heeled boots after lobbing that brick through the window!!
The hypocrisy on both sides is ridiculous I admit, but it provides Diane and Doug with the opportunity to go up against Lawrence and I enjoy that the older cast get some more airtime. |

Robert never murdered dull Katie and the sooner people stop going on about it the better. And if he did, he did us all a favour

The way the show tries to brush all of his crimes, and his ugly personality, under the carpet because he "loves" Aaron is beyond frustrating. The entire show is corrupt with crime which is already ridiculous, but the character of Robert has crossed so many lines; it's unbelievable. But that's okay, because 'Robron'... until either actor leaves, the two will remain the golden couple who can do no wrong, because love - because social media. |

But being responsible and being a murderer are surely not the same thing? His behaviour afterwards was and remains awful but he did not mean to kill her I am sure. And I don't particularly like the character.

![]() Lachlan didn't intend to shoot Lawrence either, but when you wave a shotgun about s**t happens. Both deserve to be punished and Robert definitely doesn't have the right to look down his nose at the Whites after all he's done. |

![]() Shooting Larry was an accident, although he should not have had the loaded gun He went to Court for the Indecent assault and pleaded guilrty. Slugden and Smugden have done far worse DRoss has done far far worse |

IIRC he did stop Katie from leaving, was heavy handed with her, and seemed pretty desperate. If she hadn't fallen at that exact moment who's to say he wouldn't have done something to her after that? I do think the truth needs to out at some point as whatever you think of Katie she was a regular character for 15 years and a fairly likeable one. Chas's acceptance of 'Robron' after it is ridiculous. |
