....after this episode needs a good shaking. A very horrible, sarcastic, interjecting woman. I saw her being totally out negotiated in the Celeb Apprentice and she was way out of her depth.

She's a right cow. That face could curdle milk from 100 miles away.

Lol, its the worst she's ever been IMO...even Sugar looked like he'd had enough at one point..when she presumed he was referring to her with his prickly on the outside was priceless!!!

After her 'pathetic female ' comment, absolutely not.

Like she's never turned on the charm to snuggle up to the old rich boys. She's lost it...there's being constructive and there's being nasty. I will never again sit on the fence about whether she's a tough businesswoman, whose single minded or just a bitch.

I love Karren Brady. She's a tough, no-nonsense and strong woman and she doesn't have to be nice. I wouldn't want her to be nicer but she does show a softer side. Eg: reassuring Jessica when she had a panic attack about the jeans.

I like her - she is intelligent shrewd and cuts through their pathetic excuses and twaddle.

I like the way, in the boardroom when some of them point out others' faults, she pulls them up with their own.

I have to say that I've never been one to indulge in the Karren bashing that goes on on here.

However that said, I do think she came across particularly and unneccesarily nasty and snide tonight, especially with what she said to and about Alana. Even my OH said at that point, 'She is the last person to call anyone else on using their womanly wiles to their advantage'.

I miss measured Karen that we had in the early series i.e. series 6. She was overly critical on absolutely everything; even small things. Her criticism of Alana was very unfair as she got a good discount and it just seemed like a personal attack. She just slated Courtney the whole way through even though he was actually doing quite well; the tagine thing was a mistake but it wasn't a massive deal. Its hard to tolerate her in this series.

I dunno ... I may be remembering things too nostalgically, but even though Margaret could be stern and cutting, there was flashes of humour sometimes too, and it never seemed especially personal ... but the more this series goes on, the less I like Karren, which is a shame.

I always had a bit of respect for karren but think she's crossed the line into nasty now. Her comments tonight were uncalled for. So what if the discount was gained by being girly and flirty, it got a good price so job done.
Anyway, I'm not sure someone who has spent her career working for a pair of grotesque dildo floggers can really claim the moral high ground

I thought she was very rude tonight to a few of the contestants. Especially her comments to Alana.

Alana stuck up for herself really well and kept it polite and professional, if anything the whole verbal attack made Alana seem really impressive while Karen just looked like the school bully.

Yes, and it's not the first time Alana has acquitted herself well in the boardroom when she was being unfairly criticised, she also stuck up for herself when AS was complaining about her complaining to Sam(?) for charging more for the confectionary at Brighton: 'I didn't want people coming back, having found out they'd been overcharged, and complaining'.

Lord Sugar moved quickly on.

I suppose there is the odd thing I don't like about her but then there are things I don't like about Sugar either. I have no real idea about her life outside of The Apprentice but I've read Sugar's autobiography and he comes across a git in many ways. However, Karren and Sugar are both successful so maybe that is the key to success in their world.

Anyway, her contribution is a small part of the prog. It certainly doesn't spoil it. So why not just try and ignore her and enjoy it?

I haven't been keen on Alanna up til now but on this one she was right.

When one of the lads uses charm to get round somebody that's fine - nobody says a dickey bird unless it's to actually praise him.

In this case she got the deal. That was the goal and she achieved it.

Period.

Actually, didn't she think it was great when that good-looking blonde woman got a diamond on the cheap because the seller was gob-smacked by her good looks?

Same- I think Alana is acquitting herself very well, she''s clever and measured and I totally don't buy the 'you have to be ruthless in business' line they keep trotting out.

Karren looked like a right cow in this exchange, it's very very difficult to defend her as it was total sneering at Alan

I kinda understand the criticism after watching this episode - she was particularly harsh towards Alana and Jessica for whatever reasons.

Was that Roisin when her team bought the diamond?

She's gotten WAY too big headed.

That exchange between her and LS - the one where LS was making some light hearted throwaway gag about how he's prickly on the outside but soft on the inside, which she *immediately* assumed was referring to her - physically hurt my soul. When you're even getting twitchy with Lord Sugar then you know you're getting too big for your boots.

Not to mention how she absolutely slated Alana for "turning on the female charm" which not only has she likely done herself but she's also praised past female candidates for doing the exact same thing. Complete and utter hypocrite of a woman.

Needs to go. Can't be doing with the unnecessary sniping anymore. By all means make comments noting things, but don't make it personal for God's sake.

So the consensus of the Brady-bashers is that it is all right for Lord Sugar to criticise Jessica's "for my dad" negotiations as unbusinesslike but an outrage when Karren makes the same point about Alana. Does the double standard only apply to cigars?

And Lord Sugar also told Alana "that's not how business works".

Ironically, it is in the buying task in previous series that Karren has been unfair in her criticisms, imo, often relying on hindsight to say that X would have been a better shop than Y. This week, it all seemed fair.

she's been absolutely awful this season, must be her true colours but she really is coming across as a a deeply unpleasant woman with no redeemable qualities
