Loses yet another client.

And yet we are meant to see her as this intelligent, highly-skilled businesswoman. If Steve kept constantly losing clients without them even paying a deposit he would be accused of being an idiot and laughed at.

No matter how much I try, I detest this character and I am not too fond of the actress as well.

A completely bizarre means to get Sarah to do an extra shift and then cut it short but what's even odder is the way that they use it to make Michelle even more detestable. Why do that when we're supposed to be loving her and seeing her as the star of the show?

Eh? Since when was Michelle pushed to the front of the show?! She gets a storyline and suddenly she's the focus? Do me a favour.

The hate for this character is ridiculous. I personally Kym Marsh quite unlikeable but Michelle is hardly worthy of being so detested. It's seriously unnecessary IMO

Who the hell has their 40th birthday 'do' in a tiny little backstreet pub when they're not even a local ( ie. we don't know her ) anyway??

Well to go and spend a lot of money on Balloons without a deposit is something nobody with half an ounce of sense would do. And there must have been food bought as well, and stored in the tiny galley kitchen, unless the party were just going to the Rovers as part of a pub crawl.
I've seen Kym Marsh interviewed, she actually seems like a very nice, human, normal person, no worse than anyone else and that's for sure.

I don't particularly mind the character but I do mind the strange way that she gets written. Stuff from TBTB always seems to suggest that she's an important, lovable, strong character and yes, I can understand them pushing the character, she's been there ten years and landlady of the Rovers is a key role. Yet they seem to put her in scenes that don't need her and all too often she comes across as cold, sour, selfish and even a little bullying. They don't need to write her like that but intentional or not, that's how it comes across and I find it really odd.
