Is that a bit of sarcasm then

Well the song choices are dull apart from Matts and 5am!

Disco week usually makes way for some massive sabotage - I'm thinkin honey G or Ryan

i was about to post the song choices anyway my verdict is that Only Emilly has a poor song the others look pretty good, looking forward to Honey G Stayin Alive in the show for another week and winding more people up, isn't 5 after midnight doing a bit of September as well? I think Ryan will be going or Saara but I predict Ryan giving a similar performance to last week

I am a emily fan but how many slow songs can she sing week in week out

Sara will be amazing with her song choice, no Bottom 3 for her!

I love Saara's song choice, she will smash it! I really like Emily, but another slow song? She really needs an up beat song, I hope they change it, why dose Simon want her to be boring?

i think the worst choice is Emily. Doing ballads week in and week out only works if you have an incredibly strong voice and I don't think she has.

I think if Saara can pull off her song like this one, she'll be fine

Really looking forward to Matt and 5am .great choices.Matt especially will knock it out the park.I LOVE that wild cherry track .what a tune but little Jim Kerr will really need to step it up to do it justice .I hope the funk will be with him .

It's all so bloody predictable and dull.

Donna Summer - I Feel Love
ABBA - Voulez-Vous
Erasure - A Little Respect
Moloko - Sing It Back
Chic - I Want Your Love

... etc, so many brilliant songs yet they go for the most dated overused songs?

If Honey G is doing the awful N-Trance version of staying alive she could be in trouble

Exactly, those songs you mentioned are so much better, the only one who has decent song this week is Saara.

No Matt will bore everyone to death as he does every week

It seems it doesn't matter what the theme is or who the contestant are. The judges just dust off their copy of 'Crap songs to be sung on X Factor' and choose one from it. There are millions of songs to choose from.

Matt doesn't have the expressiveness for that song at all I don't think. His voice is too thin.

I am unsure what version of stayin alive honey g will be 'singing', but they will clearly have her in a white suit doing the Tony Manero one finger up in the air stance.

I suspect they thought of that, then chose the song to go with it rather than the other way around.

Is there a rap song that samples staying alive?

The rest are all a bit predictable. And emily with another dreary slow paced song, in disco week. So many options and this is what they do.

I aired this exact same view last night, it won't let her shine, but it will let her rap like it's 1995.

Disclaimer - I don't like disco.

This'll be good. I was quietly hoping she might do Anita Ward's You Can Ring My Bell, but she'll do a good job with it. As long as she doesn't have to do it behind some insane crazily themed decor and dancers...

“Honey G
Stayin’ Alive”

It will probably be the N-Trance version, but I expect it'll be fun to watch.

“Emily Middlemas

Excuse me while I fall asleep. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Quote:
“Sam Lavery
I Will Survive”

No. She is not old/experienced enough and doesn't have a strong enough voice.

Quote:
“Ryan Lawrie
Play That Funky Music”

This will be awful.

Quote:
“Matt Terry
Best of My Love”

Boring, chosen only to show off his falsetto.

Quote:
“5 After Midnight
Boogie Wonderland”

Predictable, they might do a good job of it though.

Doubt it

She will do her usual shouting and changing lyrics and get her usual standing ovations and then sail through yet again

l feel the selection is quite limited, they literally use the same songs year after year, must all be linked with the licensing or something or just easier for them

Not due to the licensing. They will have a PRS license which covers huge amounts of music.

BIB, didn't Tamera go into the bottom two with that song choice in series 10? I also remember that the public went berserk because it weren't even a Disco song.

I've just checked, and yes, she was in the sing off with Kingsland Road.

Also in 2008, Austin Drage sang it. He was in the sing off against Rachel Hylton.

Didn't luke friend sing play that funky music ? And he did well!

Matt will do well if he nails the falsetto, and with his performance skill he should "own the stage"...

Hmmm...could it be a Scottish bottom two (well. Two of the three)?!
