Come off it, of course she can! I've seen her in other settings other than The Apprentice, without the sourface expression which she has a lot on TA so she certainly can help it. Nothing wrong at all with criticising it.
Such as ?

Lorraine and Loose Women. Sorry to interject but she's been on both shows recently and was laughing and smiling. Have to say, she looked stunning on Loose Women.

Here's a wild and crazy and completely 'out there' thought.

Imagine if Karren and Claude and LordSirAlanSugar himself were playing a role on The Apprentice. With expressions and lines and soundbites to support that role.

And then - and then - were being themselves when they appeared on other programmes.

What would you/we/any of us make of that?

I have speculated as much with regards to Karren and Claude on other and earlier posts.

I thought she was downright nasty towards Alana when she basically insinuated she was acting like a whore.

I'm glad Alana somewhat stood up for herself.
which, considering karren's path to success, was quite hypocritical.

Not when you consider also that none of that is true.

By all means make a point - but best to get facts right first.

nothing, but neither did alana. what's hypocritical is how karren lambasted alana for using her femininity to get what she wanted with a man when her career started because she managed to get david sullivan, one of her FATHER'S clients, to, first of all, invest £2 million pounds into an advertising project on the condition that she helmed it and then she got him (i won't even begin to guess at how) to buy a football club and let her manage it. so neither one "whored" their way to the top, but it is quite hypocritical to treat alana the way she did when karren herself rise to success was with the help of a man.

Karen always have this expression of sucking bitter lemons, and comes across as quite bitchy and seems like she can't wait to snitch on any minuscle mistake a candidate has made to LS.

I like Claude. Unlike Brady, at least he manages to smile now and again.
Bitter indeed. She appears to be a very bitter, spiteful woman.

Claude's fair. I miss Margeret too, her and Claude would be perfect.

Seems to me that you have had a good go at it though and now come up with 2+2 = 5

And as I said on my earlier posts - get facts right because the problem with this little lot is that there are gaping bits missing in what actually happened and in addition to that what you have said is somewhat selective.

educate me then, what gaping bits did i miss out? and how have i been selective? i'm not bashing karren for how she became successful, i'm criticising her hypocrisy for decrying alana's methods for being a step back for feminism or whatever she was implying but while she has used men her whe life to boost her career.

If you really believe that to be true - and sadly I think you do - this is a pointless exchange.

i've asked you to prove me wrong, i'm open to hearing what you have to say. you are choosing not to put you're point across, so that's on you. don't act like you're far more enlightened on karren brady's start in business if you aren't going to back it up.

No- as you made the frankly outlandish claim that she did that to further her career it's absolutely up to you to prove that was the case

Nope didn't think so.

Thanks for that Sorcha because, when the poster said what he said - and meant it - any further exchanges was pointless so I have not responded - and nor will I.

I wouldn't go that far, Claude is a snivelling little prick with his tongue wedged up Alan's aris

Margaret had her moments -- remember she went off on one because Baggs the Brand (RIP) greeted her as, well, Margaret. If Karren did that, the DS forums would be in meltdown.

to be fair to Karen she doesn't make them greet her 'Baroness' so she isn't as up her own arse as Alan

So she used her contacts to negotiate an investment into a project which you seem to suggesting was her idea and negotiated that she led the project? Was the advertising project successful? If so it's quite common for people who have worked successfully previously to do so again. This wonderful thing called logic would suggest that she got someone to invest in a football club by showing that it could be a successful business and once again it's quite common business practise that if someone presents you a investment opportunity that person has a senior role in that company (more so if you have worked successfully with each other)

All seems pretty standard business practice to me, The sex of the people is irrelevant.

Have you any evidence that the normal business practises was not followed?

Yes because although I don't dislike either of them both are sycophantic - and so is Nick.

Thing about that was - and I dont want to speak ill of the dead too much - weren't we waiting for someone to tell Braggs off pretty much throughout that series? He was pretty condescending to....Well, everyone.

Yes and it's just as well because if she did then, as in the words of another poster, the DS forums really would be in meltdown !

Mind you as soon as her name is mentioned in any context it is in any event !.
