Same old same old
Every series we see the same stereotypes. Every one is an idiot, don't they do background checks on the applicants??
Not an ounce of common sense between them |

I must admit I thought her comment about Dylan singing was a bit unnecessary

Goes with the name, I suppose. (Bob) Dylan has an awful singing voice too in my opinion!
Mine too but he is not short of a bob or two. |

she also made herself look a mug, as all the customers were very happy

She is merely doing what she is paid to do.

I'm a huge fan of Karen. Her comments are exactly on point with what I'm thinking.
She's portraying the role perfectly imo. They're not looking for someone to hand-hold the contestants and sugar-coat things. |

She's a real tw*t this year tbh. One of the many farcical elements of 2016 Apprentice.

Normally I do like Karren but I do think this year she has been quite harsh.

Just to be absolutely clear. Karren is NOT being paid (a huge sum) to crush and humiliate other human beings.
She is there to bring business expertise and advise on capabilities, not destroy people with irrelevant, vicious and despicable taunts, put across in an arrogant, patronizing and evil manner. It is very easy to give constructive criticism in a way that helps the individual to learn. She doesn't do that. Her screwed up face and sour grimace is not contracted for either. |

She was awful to Dylan about the singing. He was trying to liven up the evening and make the guests happy. Karen seems to be annoyed he was actually enjoying his job. And his singing was pretty good.
She comes across as spiteful rather than professional. I feel sorry for people who have to work for her. |

But Dillon had contributed to the task positively with his singing and that team's event received very good reviews.

I get the feeling that she thinks she's being "legendary" by being so bitchy.
Like TA audience are gonna be all "Oh snap! She totally slayed him with that putdown omg! What a Queen of Mean she is lol!" When in reality it's more like "Wow what is her problem? She literally never EVER says anything positive Why is she such a bitch every episode? "

Yes. He wasn't even that bad. There was absolutely no need for her personal comments. That's the problem this year, she's being very personal. She could've said the singing was unnecessary or awkward but to say so pointedly so many times that he was a bad singer was just rude.
I haven't ever noticed her being so awful before this year. |

Precisely. If Lord Sugar was looking for a singer then her comments about his singing would be appropriate or relevant, but obviously he is not, so it was unnecessary to keep on about his awful singing.
Lord Sugar: I would like to meet these people who thought it was a great event sitting and watching a mermaid singing. Karren: You also sang, didn't you Dylan? [Dylan starts to reply] Karren: It's not as bad as it sounds, it was actually much worse. Lord Sugar: I'm trying to visualise this. Karren: Don't. It was like Carry On at the Aquarium. Dylan: Probably, yes. Later, after a discussion of the tour, Karren told Dylan: You were life and soul of the party, that's for sure. |

Keep on? Karren said it only once to Lord Sugar who, remember, does not see the task footage or Karren's interviews to camera. If Karren does seem to repeat herself in different contexts, that is the editor's fault, not hers. In the boardroom, it went:

They then add a bit more for good measure and then conveniently miss the bits that do not suit. |

She is trying to come across like the other assistants, who have a look of quiet yet professional horror while they are 'judging'. But Karen just comes across as very bitchy, not funny at all I'm afraid. |

Just like to add my pennyworth.
I know this is going back a few weeks but was it really necessary for Karren to remind Rhod and the rest of us that only she can call Lord Sugar 'Alan.' Claude doesn't seem to find it necessary point this out. Until then I didn't mind her tough persona. Maybe she thought she was being funny. Personally, I found it extremely arrogant. |

I get the impression that Karren is fulfilling a brief.
