She was utterly revolting to Courtney and there was no need for it.

I don't entirely agree that it's all an act either. After all, she voted to cut tax credits in the Lords, so she must be a bit of a **** at least.

Karren is a Conservative peer so follows the Conservative whip. That's how the government works. All Conservatives were bound to vote the same way. Michelle Mone, whom some have suggested as a replacement for Karren, also voted the same way.

Slight overreaction there I think - no need for that either. And you don't seem to be so hot concerning politics I might add.

Karen needs to get out of the Apprentice boardroom and her quips and start sorting out her football club that is rapidly heading down the toilet.
But they've had "the most successful stadium migration of all time"!

I think she's told to play up to a certain role. For example, at the start when Lord Sugar is announcing the details of this week's task, she deliberately stands there looking very stony faced.

She's basically the female Craig Revel-Horwood. In Strictly when he holds up his score he always looks incredibly po-faced, not breaking even when Darcey looks at him and audibly exclaims at his rating. But then later when they chat to the judges he's all smiles.

Programme executives think we need 'baddies' as characters to keep things interesting.

Well with that in mind then why has there been many threads saying that she is against women ?

And with regards to Courtney it would be hard to say anything good about him imo

Quite silly this week . Snapping that Trishna could have kept in touch with the phone herself . The phone was quite clearly coming up as PM's phone on Frances's list of missed calls. There was nothing at all given out on why on earth the phone was left outside - why would you, do that who decided to leave it, and did Trishna even know the phone was elsewhere?

Probably covered up a bit because they want a good edit for Grainne?

Karren was right to flag up the coloured gin issue early on.

I'm sure it's her role to be strict, but she makes it so snidey.
Her attacks carry venom in them. She often starts with an almost personal attack, followed by 'didn't you', 'weren't you', 'are you'?

'But you aren't a good presenter Courtney, are you'.
'but you were silently getting pissed, weren't you Grainne?'

And all the poor candidates can do is answer with a yes or a no

Claude is surprisingly more fair and businesslike in his baddie-role.

A vicious bitch is ALWAYS far more entertaining than a horrible bastard...

Anyway, Claude will have his moment next week in the Interviews round...

I can't wait, my favourite part of the show/series heehee. There's been some great entertainment over the years with these interviews... who can forget Solomon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJYAU9-ixT8 both videos are only a minute or two each but well worth watching!

I think Claude was warming up for the interviews during this week's boardroom. Maybe just reminding them of what's to come next week.

Last season Claude was very mild i think maybe since he knows them all very well and they've seen enough of him so that whole tough interviewer act loses its sheen. Linda has taken over the mantle

Courtney just needed to say " no" and Grainne say "yes" so what is the problem with that ?

And Claude said much more than that - and much worse - regarding Courtney -so why is he " fair" and Karren " carry venom " ?

When claude was am interviewer he was absolutely horrible. It's only since he became sugars right hand man that's he softened somewhat.

Bib. What's the issue with her saying what went on? Getting drunk on a task is frankly disgraceful. I don't see why on earth you think that Karren bringing it up is a bad thing?

Indeed.

They can all be horrible not just Karren and no doubt they're told to ramp it up for the programme.

The interview round should be interesting as it will cast (or at least, it might cast) Karren as boardroom defender of the candidates against attacks from the interviewers.

I hope she does but if so many here will still find fault with that.

Mind you if she does become more benignan she might still have a problem defending Courtney !

I had to laugh at the moment when Karen was sneering at Courtney about the fact that people wouldn't know how to pronounce his brand name and so the product wouldn't be successful, and Courtney pointed out that most people don't know the correct way to pronounce 'Nike' – Karen immediately shit up and had to sit there with a face like she was sucking a lemon, as she knew she'd been proved wrong. Ha!

I think you meant she shut up.
