The title of your thread made it sound like they were axing it for good, which I did think was unlikely. I must say left me a but confused at first It's only for one night and according to that article that's why they had the episode yesterday and next Thursday to make up for it, so just a change to the schedule which does sometimes happen when certain sport games are on.

Read article which said viewers were not happy Corrie ep was scrapped for football. Obviously these people didn't realise it was shown last night instead.

It happens every time it is delayed due to football. No doubt they are leaving "put it on a sports channel" comments.

Speaking of axing articles there was another one earlier on about Corrie "axing" Kevin's bomber jacket. Of course first time I caught a glance of the title I assumed he was being axed.

Misleading thread title.

Neither Coronation Street nor Emmerdale ever lose out to sport. They are contracted to so many episodes and always have to reschedule to make up for any dropped from their regular slot.

I don't get the issue anyway. Soaps are on all the friggin' time, but boo hoo if someone loses out for the night. Frankly they should be reduced anyway, but that's just me.
