So Diane is now going to be toting a gun - how more ridiculous can it get?

Diane is my joint least favourite female character (Laurel is the other one). She's still annoyed because she wasn't told about everything sooner - she hates to be in the dark about anything, she's even more nosy than Brenda. I think it's funny the way she doesn't realise that her actions have repercussions! I cheered when she was carted off in that police car tonight

Diane with a gun?

See this is what happens when you let grannies play Call of Duty...

Video games are such a bad influence on our elderly.

Laughable!!! Screaming No No No!!! but readily getting in the back of the Police car without assistance. I think she was hiding her face as deep down she was laughing

The scene where Diane was taken away by the police was abysmally acted by Elizabeth Estensen. I couldn't stop laughing.

It was terrible, wasnt it? It felt like a bad sitcom .

Diane's been acting like a 15 year old juvenile these past couple of episodes, I had to laugh at her throwing a brick through Home Farm in broad daylight and running away like some mischievous school girl lol. I get that she wants to clear Andy's name, but her attempts to do so have only made things worse for herself (and her family who will be homeless 'cause of her) and made her look like a right clown in the process.

She should stick to pulling pints at the Woolpack and quit career crime while she's ahead, she's not cut out for it. Just saying...

Seriously though, it seems like everybody in the village is committing some crime or another nowadays...
I mean when did Diane turn into Clint Eastwood all of a sudden? Why would she use a gun?

What's next? Brenda robbing a bank with a sawn-off shotgun?! Her and Bob could be Emmerdale's answer to Bonnie and Clyde.

It really was woeful. I think those of us who regularly say that the older characters should get more sls should have been more careful what we wished for. It was just so ridiculously out of character I don't think poor Liz Estensen had a clue how to act it out. I can picture her in rehearsals, on take 346, saying "just remind me again, Iain - what exactly is my motivation in this scene"?

Yeah, I'm putting it down to that as well.

I like Diane as a character, and Liz Estenson used to be fab in scenes with Val especially, because they had a really believable dynamic. She was terrible last night, but then the whole Sugdens v Whites story is a load of total pants.

I don't really get what's going on at ED at the moment - the Barton stuff is really good, and so is Ashley, and I've even enjoyed Priya/Rakesh, but there's another side of the show at the moment that is seriously crap, including turning Kerry into a desperate slapper, and all the Zak/Joanie stuff. Bleeeeeurgh. Rebecca has a lot of promise, but this is honestly bullcrap.

You have taken the words out of my mouth! I thought what a load of rubbish last night's episode was and agree that Elizabeth Estensen acted badly which is unsurprising as the whole thing is so out of character.

All this fighting, knocking seven bells out of each other is just total pants and as for Kerry - Jai seems to have no control over his staff at all and I had to giggle at Rakesh in a hairnet!

Hurricane Annie ripped the chimney off a church and killed old Marlon's wife.
You turn on the telly and every other story is tellin' you somebody died.

In the Dales there are 70 year old grannies,
And their idea of fun,
Is being in a gang called the Disciples,
High on crack,
Totin' a machine gun,
Times...(Ba do ba bun...)

You take that back, right now!!!!!

Diane was a firm supporter of Gary Johnson, the USA's true President - you know, the one who asked live on national news, "What is a Leppo?"

Any episodes that heavily feature either Diane or Victoria are difficult to watch and this week we've been inflicted with a lot from both of them........

Oh come on! This is la la land and anything goes, any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.

Diane is one of my favourites but this storyline with the Whites is dreadful, especially as Chrissie and Lachlan are so awful to watch.

I've been saying for years that Diane is an unstable and violent monster, but did anyone listen? Now look what's happened. She's running rampage with a loaded weapon. You only have yourselves to blame for this.

Thanks.

The character of Diane has always been the voice of reason in the village, so why have the writers now made her into the village idiot?
