What was Karen's problem with Alana securing the cigar deal, just because she didn't use a "business" method and used an emotional tactic. She started calling her Pathetic and what not! She really talks down on people. They need a replacement

It looks like Karen is just trying to find a problem with anybody at this rate.

Felt sorry for Alana. Poor girl looked like she was gonna cry and was looking at Lady Brady from the corner of her eye.

I liked how Alana in a previous task refused to let Samuel sell at a different price to the others. For some reason Lord Sugar criticized her and said something like "It's not like you have shops all over the country" ? In a previous year Lord sugar condemned a candiate for their unethical selling tactics.

Karen was a complete b*tch in this week task.

And Karren looked delighted to have crushed another human being. Horrible person.

Can you give it a rest now. We've got the point.

Le's hope Karren hasn't destroyed the confidence of another person trying to make their way in the world.

Karren is usually right in what she says but I think she was totally wrong the way she spoke to Alana.

I like Alana and thought she did a excellent job on this task - and on others.

But it seems the knives are out - and not just from Karren.

So she won't win - which is a shame.

If the knives are out, you can be sure Karren is around somewhere - nasty piece of work.

Yes quite.

I don't like Karren at all either but this is getting ridiculous now. How many threads and comments do we need rehasing whats already been said oodles of times, why can't we all just have one Karren thread and discuss her there (if we must keep talking about what a prick she can be)

Alana asked what may be the second most stupid question in Apprentice history: is Morocco in Turkey? That alone should disqualify her from winning (and where was Karren when this what-the-****ery was going down?) but it is just possible she was being ironic in questioning Courtney. I've watched it a couple of times and am still not sure.

Poor Alana, having to overcome the additional hurdle of having a very highly experienced person, with a public honour, speaking nastily against her at every turn. Good for her when she stuck up for herself.

Karthik even forgot her name in the cycling task, poor girl. Claude at least complimented her on her idea for the video in that task. The rest seem to be against her or ignore her, so she doesn't stand a chance.

Karren likes to pretend that we should all be the same and conveniently ignores the fact that ever since Eve had a chat with the snake in the Garden of Eden, women have used more subtle methods to get what they want. I remember being in a group of men and women discussing this and all the women happily admitted that they would start blubbing to get some bloke to sort something for them. in a more private setting, they will often get their norks out.

A certain poster is starting me to worry for Karren in a way we would have for Jill Dando had we had any inkling.

Yep, it's starting to verge on the "disconcertingly obsessive".

Karen has been overly harsh to Alana at times, which is odd cause I get the impression she actually likes her? Tough love maybe?

I only noticed it last week really and, much as I like Karren, I felt what she said to Alana was wrong - and I said as much. I was also surprised because I agree with you in that my impression is that Karren likes her so it is indeed odd.

And with regards to the other point touched on I have had some concerns for a while.

Meh, I find it hard to feel sympathy for her anymore. She morphed into a bitch this week.

Karen was ghastly as usual.

Alan Sugar likes Alana. He praised her for having a business which she started aged 17. She could be a finalist.

Not my impression at all - she actually give her a backhanded compliment and give her advice also to stand up for herself.

Not to Karen this week, but to Dillon. Her little quip when he came to Samuel's defence was completely unnecessary. It came across like she was just being rude for the sake of it.

Where has the apparent rift between Dillon and Alana sprung from?

This thead is about Alana and in this case she ( Karren ) gave her a backhanded compliment - which I note was not mentioned.

There is plenty of threads on here specifically designed to bash Karren so this comment should perhaps have gone to one of those.

Not sure of the actually sequency of events but I think it was something to do with a sale that Alana was given - or promised - and Dillon claimed it in the boardroom.

And Alana was less than impressed.
