Could Saara Aalto do a 'Samantha Jade'?

Season 4 winner of The X Factor Australia, Samantha Jade, ended up in the bottom 2 three times but eventually went on to win it.

Do you think Saara could do the same? Samantha Jade landed in the bottom 2 during weeks 1, 5 and 7, which is quite close to the final considering she won!

She sort of had the James Arthur effect, as it looks like people surged to vote for her after being in the bottom 2 so close the final.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if Saara will win because I think a lot of the votes will go to Matt, 5 After Midnight and maybe Ryan. I might be wrong though. I think Saara will do very well if she makes it to the final night. If viewers voted purely on how good someone could sing, Saara would sail through to the winner's position. Well, in my opinion anyway, Saara's easily the best singer.

I think if her sing off performances were the ones she did in the main show, then she'd sail through too!

I think her (great) singing is too formal / theatrical to win, and she may be out this week if she's in the bottom two with anyone else apart from Ryan (not sure the judges will save her over Sam or 5AM)

(but maybe the quality of her sing off performance last week will keep her out of the bottom three > two)

Saara will not topple the favourtism that Matt and Honey G are getting.

This thread has too many words. Surely a big NO would suffice

Sadly, no.
If she were British, possibly. However, I predict this will be her final week.

Ive thought this also and yes while i think she deserves it unfortunately the Aussie version isn't quite as manipulated. If Simon wants someone to make the final they will but if he doesn't want her there she will go soon

I forgot to say that I think that Saara is doing great when it comes to trying to connect to the audience/viewers at home (and obviously her singing as well). I suppose it's just a case of her doing the same thing in each show and see how far she gets.

No, Samantha actually looked and performed like a pop star. Saara is one of my favourites but the only way I can picture her in the industry is if she goes down the Sia route soundwise but we already have Sia who has a more radio friendly voice and credibility. We don't need another.

Not in post Brexit Britain :')

Also Samantha had a journey, she was always good but she did struggle a bit and she hit her stride and pretty much won it with that flawless Heartless performance in the semi. Saara is already vocally right there, it's just too theatrical for X Factor.

I wish! Saara is the best there, imo, but sadly, she won't win, and will probably be out tomorrow night.

Dull, boring no personality Matt is going to win, then become another Leon, Matt C, Joe and Ben.

Samantha Jane is a bonafide superstar....I hope Saara can join her

I'm still hoping my original post is true! She's avoided the bottom 2 now for a few weeks, so fingers crossed ...

I would say she is the frontrunner now and I would be very surprised if she doesn't win
