Didn't see this one coming as I'd assumed the XF had really done its homework with a controversial character like her. Is she in trouble?

It seems it's all in the past, so I shouldn't think so. Ben Mills did drugs in his past, and it came out in the press, but it didn't stop him competing.

The more I read the crap that comes out of this womans mouth, the more difficult I find to believe that she isn't taking the p*ss and trolling us all.
If she is genuine, that she's an absolute embarrassment. Talking about haters not knowing who they're dealing with and now saying how hardcore she is and her drug taking - bore off you stupid woman. You're a middle class graduate approaching middle age, you're not a teenage homie from the ghetto who is too dumb to know better.
Why Cowell is giving her airtime is beyond me

It's likely just PR Spin to make her seem "street" or "real".

She probably tried one or two drugs at one of her middle class uni parties and it's been turned in to a "struggle with drug addiction".

Who hasn't tried a pill or a bit of coke - this is a non story

I meant in the whole general public - 9 times out of 10 someone has tried it

I would suggest huge amounts of adults have at some point taken a Class A drug.

They really haven't.

Anyway, when is this woman going to bore off?

5 million adults or 15% is the correct answer. Still a pretty huge number which doesn't exactly make Honey G stand out.

I'm with you here. Honey G is an addicted. She's addicted to the realness and the game and I 100% support her. We've all done drugs. Alcohol's a drug. A few class A drugs don't matter. We're all adults at the end of the day.

Yeah it's a lot, but far from the 9 out of 10 that poster claimed.

Some of those will have lied, like I suspect Honey G is, to make themselves seems more 'edgy' and interesting.

This may damage the family friendly image the XF has created for her though.

Well some may have lied, some who have took them may have lied as well. It was a confidential survey so it would be strange to lie.

Whether she's telling the truth or not, giving a serious interview about addiction whilst carrying on with her obvious "I'm totally real, hardcore yeah" shtick at the same time is seriously distasteful.

Actually if you had a group of 10 friends say - guaranteed 1 of those friends would've tried a drug....not everyone will own up to it either - remember that

Are people geuinely that easily offended or is just attention-seeking? I don't understand how people can be so alarmingly sensitive. There are real things to be offended about, like global inequality, buying from shops that enslave and bring people into abject poverty or invading sovereign nations. Honey G is not something to be offended about. Chill out. It sounds like some people need some drugs to cool it lol.

LOL!!!

I bet the producers have known all along and are just throwing it out there now as their attempt to throw Honey G under the bus.

Honey G was on course to win X Factor up until this morning.

Sad timez!!! </3 <--- cry smilie for added irony

The bizarre thing is though is that if she did win I think she'd be taken seriously as an 'artist' because she'd have real star power and lots of people would really (not pretend) want to work with her.

I don't think the poster was being literal, but just expressing the idea that it is more common than you might expect, certainly class A drugs anyway.

Drug use and its social consequences is actually a very complicated, complex issue.
https://www.theguardian.com/society/...e-not-addicted

Most users are not addicts and don't identify drug use as a social problem. Marijuana use and legality being an issue all on its own. Some of us think there has been some great music and art created under the influence of class A drugs.

Honey G seems to be trying create some sort of street authenticity for herself when really all she has to say is she likes Hip Hop music ( and performs it rather badly).

Doesn't even have to cocaine or pills there's weed - that might not be class A but its still illegal so you know chill out I wasn't being literal but it's very common and could be either addiction or just recreational

Agree. People need to chill out and get off of Honey G's back.

Well go figure, we are coming close to the pointy end of the competition and there are some producers favourites and one good singer left. I suppose she has to do something to keep the votes coming in. In any case I need drugs everytime she gets through.

I bet the XF machine leaked it out there - Reformed character showing an example to all etc etc
