CS Aiden and the bin near underworld

Why are characters in soaps so dumb? Why would Aiden put the scissors in a bin near underworld? He should have put them somewhere more secret. I'm guessing the police will find them or a local resident.

Stupid storyline, which is a real shame as there are other things I'm really enjoying in Corrie right now.

I really don't understand why Caz has this much contempt for Maria. I can understand if it was Kate or Sophie, but Maria was the only one on the street that was actually nice to her. Seems rather strange that she is taking revenge on the wrong person altogether.

Exactly what I thought!! If it was me I'd have given them a quick wash, then taken them to a bin on the other side of town, never to be seen again!!

If I was guessing I would say, being the completely screwed up individual she obviously is, she felt doubly let down by Maria simply because Maria had been so lovely to her then suddenly seemingly turned on her like everyone else!!
She actually accused Maria of leading her on, which we of course know is untrue but Caz is clearly a very deluded & deranged person who can't handle rejection, especially from someone who had previously gone out of her way to support her then, like I say, seemingly suddenly turned on her when she least expected it!!

Not that I wish it on anyone, but I wish Sophie would get what was coming to her as she is horrible and automatically judgemental to a lot of people (unless she fancies one and wants them in her bed). Of course she is gone out of the show for a while, and Caz will probably be gone by time she returns.

To be fair - it's a soap. They all live in cuckooland - what point would there be in putting them somewhere where they'll never be found

I'm beginning to suspect that Aiden suffers from the same illness as Mick Carter off of Eastenders... Being deeply, deeply stupid. Not just your everyday dumbed down soap character level of intelligence... but a blithering moron through and through.

Every soap does this. A character gets a letter they don't want anyone else to see. What do they do? Shread it? No, they put it in the kitchen rubbish bin right at the top so the next person that opens it sees it straight away. Same goes with pregnancy test kits.

And of course they were in the most contrived unbelievable way.

... and they leave their mobile phones lying around (nobody has any compunction looking into another person's text box or calls archive, or even sending spurious messages on the owner's behalf).

They also close their laptops without logging out, so why are they surprised when some other busybody/nosey parker finds out what they've been up to? At least set the thing to automatically delete browsing history on closure - that way some secrets might remain just that .. secret!

And while we're on the subject of things that are just so stupid ... how about all the food and drink that goes to waste? Dinner is served, usually in the kitchen; someone gets a call and immediately ups and leaves the table, whereupon the plate of food just gets shovelled into the pedal bin. Shocking waste.

Drinks in the pub too .. someone orders a round and, as in the case with food, they get a message or a phone call and things are then so urgent that they haven't the time to finish their drink before leaving the pub there and then. And these are people who can least afford to be drinking in a pub anyway, let alone leaving a full glass!
