That's a fair comparison ... but she was given trad music with trad tempo.
Has Louise been given any duff songs so far??”

Exactly, and she's had at least two out-and-out showstoppers – Spender and Flashdance. I really do think that some celebs only go Strictly if they and guaranteed a few favours. Peter Andre got great draws most weeks, as did Jason Donoavan. I think Louise’s management have played a blinder. Bet she gets a Paso with trad music in Blackpool, just as Suzanna/Kevin did there in 2013.

AJ is a great find and I hope he's back next year.

If she gets to the final I would not be upset at all.”

I would like to see Claudia in the final and go on to win. I think she has a difficult task differentiating between gymnastics and dancing.

Her mum and dad are great TV too, they are two more important cards she hasn't really played yet.

The needle returns to the start of the song. It's a broken record and no one else cares.

That's rubbish - I've read a lot of things were the judges had frustrations there Jerry Springer was rubbish but kept being voted in so was Sarah Palin's daughter apparently.

Dances of the night - Kevin and Louise ( I really enjoyed it)
Claudia and AJ ( their height difference is really off putting but this VW was lovely. Ed and Katya made me laugh so hard I cried !

Actually voted 1 Louise 2 Judge Rinder and for the laughs 3 Ed Balls !!”

Wasn't that the story of the dance though? They were having a tiff. I thought it was a brilliant AT and the steps matched the tempo of the music they were dancing to.

Thought Danny & Oti were brilliant tonight, Louise was really engaging and danced really well, Ed had me crying with laughter which I've sorely needed this week, thought the judges were harsh on Greg - he did really well especially for a non-dancer and I thought Natalie's choreographer was fab, Daisy was so much better than I thought she was going to be (and on a shallow note rivals Oti for most amazing legs on the show), Ore did a really good job for a male rumba and Claudia and Rinder both danced beautifully.

Thoroughly entertaining show all round ”

I get that some people watch it for the entertainment value and so Ed, Anne, Scott and Jon etc. appeal and they don't have a problem with it.

My biggest objection is that a couple weeks ago, Greg was marked down on his rumba for not having enough content, despite being a great dance. It has happened to other celebs as well. How can it be fair to mark one couple high because of their entertainment value, but hardly any decent steps, yet also mark another couple down for not having enough dance content but also giving a great routine?

They judges should be consistent at least.

I liked the routine, but I agree, there was just something missing. Maybe a little energy and speed, I don't know, but overall I enjoyed it. I hope she isn't back in the B2 tonight.

I liked the idea of their partnership when it was first mooted, They seem to be dancing great, but as an emotive connection between me the viewer and them the performers it is leaving me cold , Just like form and function it does the job but that is it!

Glad to read that he's as nice as he seems.

Except that Ed didn't do the dance he was supposed to. Daisy at least did a Salsa.

He was a little stiff, and he wasn't finishing his lines or shaping like a Paso needs. It wasn't stompy or flat footed, but it lacked the fierceness of the dance. I see Nat is still hanging off him like a lovelorn ex girlfriend <cringe>

I understand the teary eyes and wanting to impress the Grandparents, but we had that during the week when he did his ITT interview and now they are going a bit OTT with it. We get it, you love them, you want us to love them, you want us to vote for you because we all love them, but stop already!!!

I'm not being hypocritical - I hated Greg's non-Rumba just as much as I hated Ed's non-Salsa!

I agree and you've put my finger on why I didn't like it. I was well performed and not rubbish but I felt like it just lacked something. It felt safe and you can't do that when performing to something that Bassey belted out.

Just caught up with the dances on YT:

Daisy: Not a fan of her dancing - felt a bit like a plank of wood was dancing. Hated the lifts - they were supposed to be spectacular I guess, but looked just (very) laboured (and ugly).

Greg: Good in theory, but his acting and attack didn't really show in his body - if that makes any sense.

Rinder: Gave up after half of the dance - not captured by the dancing, the music or the choreography.

Ore: Good in theory as well, but his movements didn't seem very finished/polished. Lost fluidity at times. I don't think I made it through to the end. Not a fan of Joanne's sheer skirt to be honest.

Ed: The choreography didn't really mash/gel the salsa steps with the "Gangnam" steps - especially in the first half of the dance. They were alternating parts - long(ish) salsa, then (long-ish) Gangnam, then salsa, then Gangnam, and so on...

Claudia: Looked beautiful.

Danny: As with Louise he executed the choreography very well, but I missed the emotion in his body. Prefer his to Louise's though - more spectacular - for a lack of a better word - choreography. Plus, he's got Oti.

Louise: Left me cold. Nice storytelling, but a little light on actual in-hold dancing (I know, it's an AS). Did they re-use Kirsty Gallacher's "dog" dress from last year?

It was ok, but he was stiff in the hips again and at times it felt a little stilted, but that's the Rumba for guys. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ore and Greg in the B2 tonight.

Indeed. He will definitely get votes for that. People won't want him to leave in front of his grandparents.

In fairness it's expectation though - they expect more from than the others especially Ed. Although Louise always gets marked to the hilt no matter how entertaining or dull she is so I guess it doesn't apply to her. I thought it was just bias making me not love her routinue I can see on here it isn't.

Please - Veterans Day is American. It is Remembrance Day here in the UK.
