Apologises in advance if this is being posted in the wrong section.

I've recently purchased a GoPro Session, specifically for cycling, though I'm sure I'll eventually end up using it for other things. What I'd like to know though (because the documentation didn't quite specify) is what free software I might download in order to edit or apply a time lapse to said videos, maybe even replace the audio with some music or something?

Google hasn't been that helpful, the last three suggested programs I've downloaded have been flagged by my Antivirus, so I haven't proceeded any further. Figured the best place to ask would be here.

Found what I'm looking for. Apparently (thankfully) GoPro have their own version of a video editing software.
