I think they get on fine from what I can see but I did think both of them seemed a bit subdued tonight, and then Danny mentioned something with Claudia about it being a difficult week and it kind of made sense. Whatever the problem is I hope he's okay. Loved their AT.

He mentioned that Oti had helped him through a difficult week, perhaps he has some personal / family problems?

He looked visibly upset at having worked so hard on the AT and being told he'd done it wrong. Anyone would be upset at that, desperate to get out of the camera's view ASAP.
The judges comments were ridiculous. But hey, they are top of the leader board. |

Made Louise and Kevin's look lumbering - because it was. |

The way he was pushing her off when she was trying to congratulate him on his 10. Also when the judges were giving them comments she cuddled him and he seemed really off with her.

I'm imagining the comments here had Ore done the same to Jo, or Louise to Kevin..

Did you not get that he was upset ? Oti got it straight away and left him . It was really quite obvious that something had upset it

Stupid comment
yes it was a pitiable comment. The lad doesn't go weeping and wailing at the drop of a hat, who knows what is going on.... he reacted to something that we are all guessing about. Go Danny it was a great dance by any standards and yes I am one of their greatest fans. I think they are great together she has taught him so much and he is such a willing pupil....just the perfect partnership. |

didn't really notice the interactions between them. i do know i much prefer training room oti from show time oti. didn't particularly like the dance, it felt more like a paso than an AT and in places was a bit indistinguishable from greg's efforts....

Judges talked a load of bull about their AT. Best one I have seen in ages - and I dance it on a regular basis, and have done for years.

I didn't like it that much. I thought there was a lack of chemistry between them. Preferred the one last week.

And he said he dedicated that performance to his dad as well, it was very clear why he was emotional. Not sure why anyone feels the need to come up with any theory that he and Oti don't get on when there's no evidence of that at all
![]() He seems a nice guy , but he just doesn't float my boat in this comp at all . |

He said the dance was for his dad, then pushed Oti away when he was trying not to get emotional. I think he's like me - the more he's comforted the worser he feels. Leaving him alone to get over it is the best thing to do.
They were fine together yesterday and have been so for the rest of the series. |

Yeah I thought so, did he not say he had a hard week outside training or something? if true maybe that was distracting him

To echo everyone else, he was clearly upset about whatever the situation is with his dad but didn't want cry about it onscreen. The moment scores were in, he went to walk off camera and then seemed to remember he couldn't. I know when I'm upset, someone hugging me only makes it worse. I read it as him being the same and not wanting Oti's comfort in that moment (but he explicitly mentioned how she'd been there for him all week and was clearly grateful for that).

My first thought was that I hope his Dad is ok!
On Strictly's Instagram there is a short video of Danny and Oti hugging and talking post scores. They get on well, he was trying to hold back the tears after what sounds like an emotional week. I loved their AT. Brilliant partnership. |

Probably worth watching the clip from after https://twitter.com/bbcstrictly/stat...202944/video/1. I think from that it's clear he was a bit upset by the comments as they made him think it'd gone wrong and just didn't want to show that on live tv.
Everything I've seen of them indicates that he & Oti get on fine and have a good working relationship. But I think they're both perfectionists too and it'd been a tough week "I didn't want to go there with that stuff but people'd be wondering why I was looking miserable getting those scores!" So it was down to something to do with his dad. Poor guy; hope everything's okay.

Yes, and the comment about his dad seemed to confirm that. In difficult emotional situations all it takes is someone being kind to make me break down and maybe he's the same, just wanting to hold it together and get through that segment.
Indeed happened to me in the middle of a business conference yesterday had to leave the room in floods of tears and if that person hadn't given me that attention or affection I probably could have held it back. There's looking like Ore with a tiny tear and there's being a flood of tears sobbing wreck. |

He seemed rather agitated in the Claudiatorium and seemed to want to get away. I think Claudia said "look after him" to the others just before the camera left them to go to Tess. I was rather worried for him, he did seem troubled.
