I like Danny and Oti and there definately was a push away from him but I do not think it has anything to do with Oti I think Danny was quite emotional for what ever reason and felt close to the edge.

That being said the judges were quite right, it was a little too frantic but then the choice of music didnt help. They had a choice to choreograph a slow or fast dance, I think, in my opinion they choice the wrong option.

Danny wasn't A line and his feet bother me plus I always feel he is too short for Oti which annoys me because he is without doubt the best dancer on Strictly.

I agree Skylark - the dance wasn't all that, and actually rather ugly, but he's a very good dancer and top of the leaderboard.

Shame he was upset tonight, he's nice enough, just doesn't move me much.

They get on. You can tell from their ITT interviews and social media. Also after their dance, he said something like, "thanks so much for this week, babe" and he blew her kiss.

I think that Danny was just upset. Some people don't like to be comforted when they are upset. When they were talking to Claudia, it looked like he was a bit teary.
I hope that whatever is bothering him is sorted.

The way he was pushing her off when she was trying to congratulate him on his 10. Also when the judges were giving them comments she cuddled him and he seemed really off with her.
Er, did you like the dance?

I e heard on another board that his dad had a heart attack followed by heart surgery. I'm only gossiping I don't know any facts, but that's what was said elsewhere.

If that's true, I hope that his dad recovers quickly.

He was Upset because he had a rough week and a family member is ill as he said. Some of you are OTT with conspiracy theories, go outside more

I agree, the dance was too aggressive and not a bit sensuous but the music didn't help.
Intricate but lacking any emotional content.

Bless him! This really does seem to be a likely (and unfortunate) explanation for Danny's distress. From what I've read, I get the feeling he prefers to keep his private life moderately private (which I absolutely applaud). So getting emotional in the Clauditorium must really have put him in an uncomfortable position -- not wanting to talk about his father's situation, yet not wanting to give the impression he was upset with the scores, and afraid he'd break down if he received any emotional support/comfort.

I'm sure he said something about his dad but I didn't catch it properly
Me too but he did mention his dad. Has his dad died fairly recently, maybe a year ago?

He and Oti get on great, they were funny together on ITT.

I didn't notice him pushing Oti away, it may have been just a quick reflex gesture, not indicative of anything.

I have read in several place that his dad had a heart attack during the week. All credit to him for carrying on and producing such a brilliant Argentine Tango. I think he would have not wanted too much sympathy on live TV as he might be afraid he wouldn't cope. Only speculation on my part, obviously.

Just watched their tango back, and think he pushed her off to stop crying!! He said 'thank you for everything this week' at the end of the dance

They seem to have great dancefloor chemistry and look to get onbrilliantly in vts.

1)They seem to get on very well. More than just get on actually, it looks like a very good relationship, good friends from what we've seen of them on the show and in social media.
2) I agree it was more a push away to stop himself from getting too emotional about it all.

His comments right after - giving her a special mention for being so supportive to him during a very difficult week kind of supports both of these points.

Completely this, plus he had just completely immersed himself in that brilliant highly emotional AT, as Oti said on ITT he's a shy person not given to outbursts of emotion (nothing wrong with people who are!) so was trying to keep in control while still have to do the talking in the auditorium...some weeks that's easier than others.

Exactly. I didn't see anything untoward at all. He was a bit emotional and that was all.
