Sick of favouritism for Louise!

In the past I've tried hard not to be cynical about this show, but its become increasingly hard not to... this year the judges' blatant favoritism of Louise & Kevin is really annoying me! I really do think Aliona was right a few weeks back when she said they were playing with their toys Ore & Danny but would then push hard for Louise & Kevin to win, so far they are following that so closely that its just not funny.

I know Louise has fans out there but I find her bland and boring, IMO she has not improved since week 1 and is being praised to the hills for mediocrity. I just hope that the public will use their own minds and choose a winner they want rather than be told who is improving - I suspect this is going to be like last year's Jay V Kellie situation all over again with judges sulking because their favourite doesn't win!

They favour Ed more than Louise.

Wasn't Danny on the top of leaderboard with a score of 38? He got 2 tens, no?

Basically, you find her and Kevin bkand and boring, in your opiniin, and want viewers to vote according your opinion?

I find her bland and boring too.

Totally agree is overmarked constantly. Do not see what the judges rave over her for.

It appears to me she is dancing but not actually feeling the dance.

Pretty much total rubbish from the OP

She danced brilliantly to a very well choreographed number.
Obviously therefore you are worried for your favourite. Just be positive for that person because that person won't win just because you try and talk down another dancer combining it with the most ludicrous conspiracy statements.

That's your opinion, I don't agree. I love her and Kevin together and found Len's comment to Kevin interesting " you make the dance about Louise not yourself".

This was the first week I've really liked Louise. I also congratulate her on chilling out Kevin, last few years I found him pretty unbearable, whereas this year I... don't mind him.

I have not noticed any judges favouritism for Louise, she has had better songs than other contestants but that is the production team not the judges.

To suggest that Louise has not improved in any way since week 1 is just plain wrong.

Just out of interest which judge/s sulked because their favourite didn't win?

I wouldn't go so far as to say bland and boring, but I do think she holds back too much to inspire any excitement. She's a lovely dancer, but tonight I didn't get any sense of the vamp and diva that music required.

I don't rate her at all she is the DVO of the series ,but she has her goal set on getting a musical theatre role

I'd love. Rednapp and Rutherford dance off
I call them the arses as in RRRRS

She gets the best songs, the best staging and more often than not better slots in the running order.

I agree with everything you say. Well said.

Bland and/or boring, Louise is an accomplished dancer and I feel her and Kevin's partnership is one very much based on a mutual understanding of each other. I love the way Kevin has "reigned it in" this year to suit a quieter and shyer partner.

Their routine tonight was fabulous and Louise's "acting" of the dance gets stronger and stronger by the week.

However, I feel it is extremely unfair that they are being blatantly favoured in their placing in the dance order.

How many times have they been out last now???

i don't really agree with the many conspiracy theories about favourites, PTBs or other strictly 'truther' tropes...

i thought she did well tonight and is really growing as a dancer from her earliest efforts. interesting that she clearly struggles with performance and has to put a lot of work into characterisation. it was a clever dance, and she did well with it.

The problem is that the actual or perceived favoritism does not always work in the celeb's favour, because it does create some negative feelings for them. She dances very well, but I do not feel engaged when she dances, not sure why, but there you go.

They even got a trip to Paris thrown in!

For me, Louise is FAR more likeable than Kellie!

I think she's improved as much as Danny has (i.e. they've both been great from the start). I do think her acting ability isn't as good as Danny's, but then again with their day jobs that makes sense!

I prefer Danny and Oti but that's more due to the pro than the celeb - Oti is far more interesting to watch than Kevin in my opinion. I don't see any favouritism, except maybe that Louise has closed the show more than anyone else. Not a big deal I don't think?

Personally I'd like to see a Danny & Oti and Louise & Kevin top 2 in the final. I'd prefer the winner to be the couple who danced it best on the night!

Totally agree the way some people can't take any sort of competition for their favourite celebrity is really beginning to annoy me. Every week someone is moaning that their personal favourite isn't getting enough marks, or someone else is getting too many. It's getting rediculous.

As for the opening post, if you cannot see the difference between Louise in the first week, and the AT she did the other week, I think there is no point to even saying anything else.

For me, Claudia is a better dancer than Louise, but I don't dream that she'll ever get the scores/praise that Louise does.
I don't know- I feel like I'm being told that Louise is improving and is really coming out of her shell, but I don't know that I've seen that happening.

Twice. I don't think that's a big deal.

Edited to add: Claudia & AJ have also gone on last twice.

Ah the cognitive dissonance is astounding, Jay was a ringer from day one and did not improve at all from week 3.

He had the personality of a wet sponge and the only interest in him came from some fantasising about some sort of relationship with Aliona.

You're mistaking appreciation and calling it favouritism.

Now if you said Ore.... "The BBC's own."

To be honest, a couple of years ago I was the one thinking "oh no not another conspiracy theory, its all nonsense" but this year I find it SO sickeningly obvious. Louise was on last, she got a 10, it was all so predictable.

The show is playing into its critics' hands, I hate to say it but even James Jordan is looking reasonable these days with his theories!

Incidentally I love Ore and would like to see him win, but he is also being overmarked by the judges. Why they are doing this I don't know, maybe they really do want an all-Clifton showdown in the final?

I find her overmarked and the judges should stop trying to manipulate it for Kevin
