Haha! Yes... it's on Virgin Mobile but wouldn't accept any incoming voicemails.

Am I wrong in thinking there are a set of numbers out there solely for use in TV/Films and by rights they shouldn't work at all?

It's quite sad that someone actually noticed and got that upset by it.

I don't think anyone got upset. Just a bit of fun to notice these things - not sure it was worthy of a news story though!

Well, she was. Perhaps she isn't any more? Maybe we'll see her and Mr Masmood meet as part of his leaving scenes? It wouldn't be beyond SOC keeping it quiet.

If an eagle eyed viewer noticed the phone number was the same wouldn't they notice that she was in Pakistan not India? Can't be very eagle eyed then .

It was hard not to notice considering they had close ups of the phone screens pretty much straight after each other.

Most likley connected to a computer and the show is using only a small few numbers. They honestly should hide phone numbers and just show the name.

Bruce Almighty showed a telephone number for God (776-2323) that was in use in South Carolina (they'd only checked if the number was in the local area code for the film's setting); normally US productions use the 555- prefix as no real US phone number uses that. Although, the CW apparently owned the telephone number used for the Winchesters in the first series of Supernatural and if you called it, there was a recorded message from Dean asking for info on his father.

Over here, I believe that all mobile calls shown on screen connect to the same phone which is owned by the TV company. As EE showed, they just save it under different names for different characters.
