I didn't think his wife looked embarrassed at all - she looked like she was laughing away like the rest of the audience.

RE your comment about John Sergeant - he was criticised for dropping out of the show as I recall (I remember James Jordan was fuming on ITT). And like others have said - why should he? It's not his fault he keeps getting saved. Dropping out would seem disrespectful to both his dance partner and everyone who's bothered to vote for him.

I don't want him to win, but to be honest I'd rather see him in the final than someone like Louise, who although is a very competent dancer and seems like a lovely person, just leaves me cold, performance-wise. She's nice, but there's never been a wow factor for me.

We are told to vote for our favourite who may or may not be the best dancer.

Or perhaps one likes to take the opportunity to be an entertainer on ds or as my mum would say a "sh@t stirrer"

Realistically, though, I think the only two celebs who the judges might save over Ore are Louise and Danny. On the evidence so far, the likelihood of any two of those three being bottom two are slim to non-existent.

A more pertinent question (and more likely scenario IMO) would be, how would people feel if Ore and Ed were bottom two and Ed was saved by Len's deciding vote?

I can't see that happening. Which of the other three judges do you think would save Ed over Ore?

No, me neither. I just think it's more likely than seeing Ore plus Louise or Danny in the DO. I think if another judge was mischievous enough to vote for Ed, it'd be Bruno.

In that case, I agree. Len would surely save Ore, though?

I'm with you on the judges - though I think they've been given their scripts and rarely deviate from it. It's all panto anyway. But I do wonder why, if you derive so little enjoyment from it, you bother to watch the show?

But, if Ed performed his salsa better than his first attempt, and Ore did his rumba worse than his first attempt, they should save Ed, since they are judging on the dance off dance alone.

Oh wait.....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Nah, never gonna happen!!

Ed and Judge Rinder are making the show just about entertaining for me at the moment. The rest leave me cold. Technically proficient yes, but totally not connecting with them as people.

It's a shame as I thought this series had so much potential when it started but its kinda gone off the boil a bit now with only Ed and JR making me want to come back.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm losing interest in it for the first time ever. I've watched all the dances from last night on Youtube and have amazed myself by only really enjoying Ed and Rinder.

Claudia was ok but her height makes her look awkward when she's dancing.

those are my three faves too...the only ones I would consider re-watching tbh.
Claudia has potential, but as she says herself, her legs are just a bit too short to give her the grace that maybe louise has got.

That said, though - he is improving (which is good to watch), and entertaining many of us. I would be very unhappy if he did a John Sargeant (sp?) and withdrew. The fact that he has stayed this long shows (I think) his entertainment value. I appreciate that those who wish to see excellent dancing find his continued presence irritating, but I look forward to his dances far more than those of any other couple!

IT will be because the GBP have voted it so.
I will simply continue to FF after the 1st 20 seconds of his routines as my cringe threshold is rather low. (Loving Katya BTW, do hope she stays).

We all have a choice, Ed is doing the 'job' he is currently paid to do.

If Claudia fails to win, I really hope Ed does it.

The only two contestants keeping me watching.

Thank you, Katya! Your choreography is brilliant!

Having read this thread through, what is more annoying than Ed's non-salsa is that those who go on and on about how he has a right to be there an the public vote for him etc etc (all true of course) don't seem to appreciate that other people have the right and are perfectly entitled to dislike him and to say so!

Everything is opinion, so just because someone says they don't like Ed (however strongly worded), doesn't mean they should be silenced. This forum is becoming worse each year for people policing the minority opinions!

But the judges do always mark him low. He was bottom of the leaderboard. It is the public who are keeping him in - pure and simple!
