It's Obvious That Danny Will Win

I don't want him to, but I think Danny's going to win. I've thought this even before we saw everyone's first dance. He is a young, good looking male, so he has the "he is fit" vote and he has a big dance background having trained and also working on the West End, so because of that, he is a good dancer. (Incidentally, Denise Van Outen had a big dance background and had lots of comments about it being unfair she was on the show, so how come Danny hasn't had anywhere near as many?).

Perhaps because Danny hasn't claimed that his previous experience only consisted of "sitting on a chair".

I think the competition is wide open personally. We have no idea how many votes Danny, Louise, ed, judge and Claudia are receiving considering none have been in the dance off. The attractive soap actor ( see Matt di Angelo and Ricky whittle ) doesn't always win. Danny's looks could count against him with people seeing him as bland.

Having said that I want Danny to win!

I expect Danny to win, I've thought he'd win since week 1. Dance experience doesn't seem to go against male celebrities like it does females.

At the beginning of the series I was really anti Danny but now if he wins that's okay by me, he's had a good few stand out dances.

I think he could win but he has nowhere near the support of previous male winners. Louise seems popular too, they could see their vote split by Greg or Robert

Danny is my favourite BUT I still dont think he will win. I just want him to get to the finals which I am at least sure he will. On the contrary, I feel like everything is being orchestrated for Louise to win ( yes I love conspiracy theories )

I would love Danny & Oti to win but not so sure they will. Maybe the ridiculous comments by Craig & Darcy on their AT is the start of Operaton "Let's Not Make It As Obvious As Jay's Win Last Year" - ie the steering of them into a Shock Exit.

I really do think that Rinder is looking like a safe bet for the win.

That's not quite true:

Quote:
“However, Denise has hit back at critics, insisting that she doesn’t have anywhere near as much experience as people have assumed. She told Digital Spy:

“Well I can move. I can do the basics… thanks to theatre school,” Van Outen said. “But this is all really new to me, and I haven’t danced properly for about 15 years.”

The mum of one admitted that she take part in one big dance number when she played Roxy Hart in Chicago, but inisted that she spent most of that performance in a chair. She added:

“She is sitting on a chair most of the time!””

She did talk about "sitting on a chair", but she didn't say that this was her only previous experience.

I wouldn't mind seeing Danny win.

With Ore and Claudia as runners-up.

I don't think it is obvious; however, it is clear that Danny is perceived as a threat to somebody favored by the OP. Hence the attempt to start an "anti-ringah" campaign.
It is so last year, but I am sure it will attract a number of other "anti-ringahs" crawling from every crack, now that we are half-way through the season and the competition tightens.

edy, they are my faves too - hell, I started their Appreciation Thread!!!

I just cannot fathom why else Craig and Darcy could not see what Bruno saw when he explained how perfect their interpretation of an argument was.

He'd completely deserve that win too. (If it actually happens, of course)

Pretty much this. Though it also didn't help that she was paired with James.

As I said above, I thought that they would win before anyone did their first dance on the show and I explained the reasons why I think this.

I think it's like Jay and Aliona all over again when it was completely obvious that they would win because of their jive, which IMHO, is extremely overrated. Like Danny, Jay had a dance background and was a young, good-looking male so had that vote too. (Before anyone says it, I know that not every Jay fan was someone that fancied him, but I do think that played a part).

I agree with gcmac in that dance experience doesn't seem to go against male celebs like it does with the female celebs.

You have to stand out either through your dancing or personality and partnership. None of the couples this year seem to stand out for either of those reasons for me and I can change my votes on a weekly basis. It will come right down to the wire for me in this years final.

Danny might not win if there are more people like me who can see he's a fantastic dancer but will always vote for a learner ahead of him.

I don't think Danny has it in the bag at all, I genuinely think that Claudia stands a very good chance of winning. To be honest, any of them could win!

Danny is clearly the best dancer and if that decided Strictly he would win for sure.

He is the best dancer ever on the show and could dance professionally.

Let's be honest, in some of the dances, like the Jive, AT etc, he could out dance and outscore Anton.

That still does not make him a winner, though being a good looking bloke will garner him votes.

I like to watch him dance, still not sure somebody who was so good before they even entered Strictly should win because of being the best dancer. You could have handed out the prize after the first week in that case as no one is going to be able to reach his standard and that include Louise who is the second best dancer.

Well he had the "bag" (more briefcase) with him today as he "Heard It Through The Grapevine".

We don't know if "it" was in it but I'm pretty adamant he won't be getting the "sack" any time soon...

I'll get my coat...

The year Jay won, the year Louis won, it was obvious from the beginning. I don't feel Danny is assured the victory in that way. It's more open and interesting than last year. If they're through (of course) there's a way to see any of Danny, Claudia, Louise, Ore or Rinder winning, IMO

Think it's impossible to tell at this stage who will win.

And I started this series adamant I'd actually be very irritated by Danny and be hugely underwhelmed by his dancing. But he's grown on me every week and has been the only dancer I've really taken to. Love how Oti really pushes him. He's clearly the best male dancer they've had and she doesn't let him coast at all.

Would be great to see him win, not so sure he will though.

Yep agreed.

I think Danny will win to be honest. 90% sure.
When it reaches 100% for any celeb like it has in the past I tend to lose interest in the competition element and just enjoy the dancing.
He is the best dancer of the series so far irrespective of previous dance experience.
However he needs a meaningful challenger who can appeal to voters. I am struggling to see where that challenger is coming from which is a little bit depressing as I don't like the show becoming predictable.

its not obvious that Danny will win the standard is really high this year and apart from Ed Judge Rinder and Gregg I really couldn't call it between the others on who'd win because they are all capable of doing so
