No, the point being made was that Denise claimed her role in Chicago mostly consisted of "sitting on a chair" which, as anyone who has seen the show knows, was complete crap, not on what her previous level of experience had been.

This particular part of the quote from Denise in fact:

Quote:
“The mum of one admitted that she take part in one big dance number when she played Roxy Hart in Chicago, but inisted that she spent most of that performance in a chair. She added:

“She is sitting on a chair most of the time!””

Exactly - mostly consisted, instead of "only consisted", which is what Muggsy said. There's a difference between the two.

When people are talking about Denise saying that she only sat on a chair in Chicago, they're generally referring to what she said on the Launch Show, not in some side press interview.

Heaven forbid the winner might be the person who performs best in the final.

Some people will vote for their favourite regardless but a lot of us make the decision on the night. In the past choreography for the showdance has been critical to the result.

He didn't come with a huge fanbase and he hasn't had a particularly strong personal story, sob story, struggle or showmance, etc, so if he is doing well, I would say it's because he's you know sort of dancing well. Which is a reasonable reason for people to support him, isn't it? He's not my favourite, but I often give him a vote as best dance of the night. Because he often is.

If the final was tomorrow, and Danny didn't win, then the best dancer wouldn't have won. Whether others can out-dance him in the next few weeks remains to be seen and will depend a lot on music and choreography. The pressure on Oti (and Kevin) must be immense.

He is also undermarked by the judges. he is heads and shoulders above Louise, Ore and Claudia.

So long as it isn't Kevin I don't care who wins.

Danny is amazing, to me no one touches his dancing on there.

For me it has to be Danny. I would love Greg in the final though as I love an underdog.

Greg is the weakest left aside from Ed.

Really, I had no idea a throwaway remark from me (and going only from memory) would be subjected to such forensic analysis. I merely sought to address your point in the OP that Denise had more comment made about her previous dance experience. I believe that was because she went to ludicrous lengths to talk it down.

i always thought that comment was just a joke. i mean its not as if people weren't likely to have some awareness of what the role entailed. i think its more likely that some people just didn't like her and looked for hooks to hang it on.

Agreed (and I like Greg)

Still hoping for a Danny/Ore/Claudia final

I really do think that Rinder is looking like a safe bet for the win.”

I've got a feeling it might be Rinder too as well.

Danny is the male version of Louise.

Don't really mind who wins as no-one's really gripped me, particularly the 'better dancers'.
But Danny's personality is very weak and I find he's the least rootable out of everyone left. It's just all been too easy and the same old same old from the start.

Right now I'm hoping for an Ed Balls upset. When it comes to building momentum and the difference from when he started to where he is now, he just might be the biggest improvement.
Those pesky judges though will get their grubby mitts on him and spoil my fun (shakes fist), so it feels a bit unlikely.

I'm hoping for something interesting/unexpected to happen at least. Just maybe.

That's always the problem with the ringers. He's been at high level all series very consistent but he's vulnerable to a late improver who just clicks with the audience in the last few weeks. Probably Judge Rinder and Claudia are the only ones who could do it now. Unless Ed pulls off the upset, Can't see it though the odds are still against him.

For me too. His partnership with Oti is incredibly dynamic - always look forward to their dances.

Though I'm expecting Louise to deliver a v exciting Paso tomorrow.

He's the favourite on here, but away from here I get the feeling the momentum might be with Louise. Charleston could be his wow dance, but then the paso could be for Louise as well.

The winner is chosen by the public, so I hav no problem with that.
I only wish they would change the current format and make it public votes in semifinal
and the finalists are chosen by the public. I just don't trust the judges.

Except with more personality and a far better dancer.

I would put them personality wise on a par also. But both are becoming more interesting with time.

I like Danny but I don't think he will win. There's still time for someone to have a breakthrough dance and I think that will be Claudia F. Danny, Ore and Louise are all about as good as they are going to be.
