She really was. Apart from Honey G of course, but then I don't really class her with the others. Emily is just so overrated, and the fact that while the judges were saying she needs to do something different she was saying "I agree, I agree", makes you wonder if she is happy with the avenue she's been forced down the past few weeks with all of these ballads, despite her receiving ridiculous praise.

Yes, based on what we've heard tonight, Emily should go home tomorrow night, no question.

Worse than Ryan? No. She wasn't good but he is really lower tier.

Not generally but she was even worse than Ryan tonight IMO.

Wonder if Simon dumps her after publically speaking out after her performance.

That statement from her only suggests that she needs to get a backbone and express to her mentor that she wants to take a slight direction next week. ...knowing that she will get through next week
That plea should not have been done publicly ..no wonder SC wasn't best pleased! !!

This was definitely her poorest performance. Was she ill? Her voice just seemed odd. It was also a poor song choice, this was her chance to show something different in disco week. Simon seems to be trying to keep her in a little box of haunting, slow vocals, which normally she is great at but she was more exciting in the earlier rounds when she was choosing her own songs.

I really like Emily and hope she stays but I'd like Simon to notice the online feedback and realise he needs to put in more effort.

I got t impression she'd expressed this thought to him already.

She's addressed it week after week on Xtra, so Cowell was already fully aware of her opinion.

Why not? Her honesty was refreshing.

Emily, 5AM, and Matt for me personally.

Emily stoodout above the rest for awfulness though.

If the public was voting fairly then the three underdogs going into the night would be safe as ironically they was the ones that fought the most to stay, the frontrunners were completely lazy and didn't try much at all.

Yes, there was an article about her being sick.

It's really not fair how the contestants don't get a choice for the song they sing. However, she was ill this week so she didn't sound her best. I don't think an uptempo song would have done her any favours either tbh.. unfortunately she will face the bottom 2 but I don't think she'll end up going.

This is a HUGE point. For someone to be able to sing ANY song to the very best of their ability, they need to somehow relate to that song, it is a massive injustice that at the very least these wannabees are not even allowed to choose which songs they sing. If they were allowed to choose or had more say in what they sing each week, you would no doubt see performances improve by about 100%.

she was pretty terrible last night, sounded really fake with the heavy use of the backing track/singers

going into the lives i was worried about her being a bit of a one-trick pony as she had been doing acoustic versions of songs with the guitar and here we are 6 weeks in to the lives and we haven't seen her with the guitar once. the show also seem to have forgotten that 2 years when she first auditioned and was sent home at judges houses she was doing up tempo stuff as well

Apparently she's inspired musically by Lily Allen, Eliza Doolittle and Jessie J. Definitely not the direction the show's pushed her in.

Honey G aside, I thought 5AM were the worst, the the two boys who are just so bland no matter what I'd rather watch paint dry.

Even when she's not great like tonight I'd rather listen to/watch Emily than them.

At least Bratavio were entertaining - pity they couldn't sing so well.

Emily was definitely bad, but not the worst. honey g is and always will be the worst act of the night as long as she remains on this show.

Emily was bad, but like Matt, I think it was noticeable because she had been pretty decent before so the fall came as a shock.Ryan was on par with Matt (but for him best performance yet) - Worst of the night was still Sam by a country mile. Best three (in reverse order) were 5AM, Saara and Honey G (pulling out yet another entertaining performance)

Nope she was the best. Just because she doesn't have the loudest voice doesn't mean she's not amazing. What about Taylor Swift or Ellie Goulding? They don't have loud voices but they're still amazing artists and singers who can sell millions of records, and I believe Emily will do the same.

I thought she was okay until she started doing the cringe hip sways and singing above her limit, worst had to be Honey G though

Then that shows she has no control in what she sings on the live shows then...doesn't want to upset the great Cowell! !!!.sam managed to change her song last week, after she spoke to Rebecca Ferguson. ...and w she was happy doing it too. .....good for her too

They have personality on stage, something that Emily is lacking

I agree. Its obvious to me that she is not happy with all the Songs she has been told to Sing..

Emily & Sam in the bottom two with Sam leaving, that's what I am hoping for

This would really pi$$ off Simon no end

But seriously, this was DISCO week & they "sang" their songs in a slower tempo?
Simon is to blame for his choice of songs & should be punished
