I've just been reading that DWTS Ireland will begin in January.

Nothing yet seems to be confirmed regarding presenters, judges or pro/celebrity dancers but was wondering if anyone knows if this can be seen in the U.K. When it airs in January.

Is it possible to get the RTEs in the UK? I think it'slikely it will air there.

It would be nice to be able to watch the Irish show, it will replace the Voice Ireland in the schedules and there will undoubtedly be some stars that we'll know and maybe some pro dancers. It was rumoured that Robin Windsor will appear.

Wouldn't it be great to enjoy a couple of winter months in January and February watching the show ?

I can watch as I am in Northern Ireland and get the RTE channels through Virgin.

I remember the ad for upcoming winter shows and it was there but no date. Have been keeping an eye on the tv guide to see when it would appear. Will be watching. I watch The Voice Ireland which is a very different vibe from the UK version smaller more intimate I am expecting their DWS to be like this.

ITV should pick it up, can broadcast it on ITV2. I will never pay and watch Murdoch,
so if it's SKY, no show for me.

I hope they get some good pros, may be Gleb and Tristan??.

Gleb wouldn't go from LA to Ireland, especially after supposedly settling down over there, and certainly not with the gap in pay. I'm fairly sure Tristan said he's done with TV dancing.

Thanks, Stig More wishing on my part that Gleb might do both.

I can't remember where, but I think I read that Vincent Simone would be involved somehow with the Irish DWTS. Well, I was just stalking around, as you do, and noticed that Tristan MacManus recently followed Vincent on Twitter (and vice versa). I'm sure there could be plenty other reasons - they're both dancers, 3 years apart in age - but they were never on Strictly together.

In fact, Vincent said he didn't watch Rachel when she was on the Christmas special with Tristan - he said something about how he hated watching the show now. (I still think they were let go from the show and it's not true they're repeatedly asked back, but then I've always been a strict contrarian).

Oh well, only time will tell I guess...

I know who some of the pros will be and also two of the judges. Tristan MacManus was apparently asked to be a judge but declined. I think Darren Bennett was involved in the selection process. There is no word yet about celebs, we have such a small pool of them here to draw on. I was not a great fan of The Voice of Ireland, but very much preferred it to the UK one!

I don't really want to say names until the official announcement. The three pros I know are all Irish and based in Ireland and I believe others are coming from different countries. One of the judges is a world renowned judge and teacher who is Irish, and I would say ranks above Len Goodman. The other judge I know is based in Dublin, has been a competitive ballroom dancer, and now runs a couple of dance/fitness centres.

Neil Jones just tweeted

'Congratulations @RYANMCS @KzKsenia winning all 5 dances at the British Nationals and good luck with @DWTSIreland'
So it looks like they are two of the pros.
Ryan Mc Shane and Ksenia Zsikhotska.

Here is the link to the tweet.

Did Neil jump the gun???. I haven't seen any official statement about the line up from
DWTS Ireland.

He mentioned that they had won all five dances, so must be really good and sure to join Strictly in the near future.

don't automatically think they will join Strictly think DWTS Ireland good fit for them - Ryan is not tall same height as Neil, Kev, Gorka and AJ and show needs taller dancers not more of the same

Thanks. I am sure Strictly will need tall male pros, when Brendon and Anton leave.
