Not a fan of both of these ladies but other pros especially Brendan and even Aljaz, pasha do the same thing from time to time and yet you don't see people starting threads about that Meh.....leave them alone.

I've read the thread but it doesn't really say you have to guage context to respond to it either, and even then I don't think it's something that needs to be ignored in the same vein. And that's not true either. Brendan, for example, would say "Undermarked" For Kara, Natalie, Abbey, Mark Wright etc. etc. getting near perfect marks.
Fair dues if so, I can only remember calls for the middle tablers downwards rather than one of the favourites.

Oh dear.
Another thread leading to potential Clifton bashing.
Oh just stop it.

I am asking a question. If it had been Brendan or someone else yelling it I would have remarked on that. It wasn't - it just happened to be the Clifton women.

Stop trying to turn the post into something it isn't.

I didn't even see it myself, which is the point of my post, NOT to bash the Cliftons. FGS.

It does not me bother much they support each other. Shouting undermarked, just part of the show. On the otherhand if they do the opposite and shout over marked in a loud voice i would think that unproffesional and not being sporting.

Watching it it's definitely just Karen and Joanne who start it and then Daisy joins in. Maybe Ore as well, there's definitely a man's voice in there.

I have no animus with the Cliftons but that sort of thing doesn't come across well. It's all very well when you're shouting undermarked as a collective when Ed Balls gets mid 20s for a quickstep, but being more or less the only ones doing it, for a family member, for a dance that got a very high score, looks a little cliquey.

That puts it very nicely into perspective!

I'll also just echo other posts which point out that the Clauditorium is always rowdy and celebs and pros alike have been very vocal in support of fellow couples for as long as I can remember. Some folks seem to possess highly selective critical faculties.

Believe it or not I was not totally having a pop at you.
It is just that thread after thread is turning into a Clifton bashing thread and it is getting rather tiresome.
Whether intended or not and I believe you when you say it was not intended the end result has been yet more Clifton bashing in certain posts. I saw that coming just by the title of the thread. Not intentional on your part I'm sure but the end result depressingly predictable.

I thought they were bang out of order during the final last year when it was so obvious that they wanted Kevin and Kellie to win and were screaming their heads off for them and then politely clapping for the others.

It didn't bother me last night though.

I'm concerned that people aren't reading the thread before posting - there is a difference to people crying out 'undermarked' at a beginner scoring anything from below 20 to just under 30 (which is what the likes of Brendan, Aljaz, Tristan etc. did and do) and yelling it after a very accomoplished dancer has scored just three off a perfect score. Especially when only two are crying out and they are related, whether by marriage or birth, to one of the members of the couple.

THAT'S what some people are questioning rather than 'undermarked' being shouted overall.
Mark Ramprakash got 39 for his AT and I still would be calling undermarked.

Mean, considering she didn't get a chance to compete properly and leave the usual way.
No, fact! Or is she not out of the competition?

Joanne is doing Ore a disservice (especially since they were in the dance off last week).

To be honest (and I am an Ore supporter, so that is part of my perception), I thought the most sabotagey and dodgy moment in the Clauditorium was Brendan handing the dry-eyed Ore a tissue after his rumba. Knowing how people have responded to his emotion, I mean...

But maybe that's just because I hang around this forum too much.

To my subjective eyes, Jo was *unimpressed*

But maybe Brendan was just messing around like Tameka was when she engineered the cry-in

He (I think it was Brendan) yelled out "We need tissues! WE NEED TISSUES!" after Danny's marks too.

I'd forgotten that... and then it turned out Danny was covertly upset about something.

I didn't appreciate it much either but I guess you could put it down to familial bias whereas the Judges...

The pros always shout out that couples are undermarked- Brendan in particular does it often and no one cares. But hey, let's have another Clifton bashing thread instead.
Brendan doesn't have any particular connection to any of the other pros. He's not related or married to them so he afford to do it. If the Clifton's do it to their own it looks like neopotistic bullying as Monkseal says it's not helpful and will only create a huge backlash when Ailona's comments about this being fixed in Louise's favour certainly didn't fall on death ears as far as some people on this forum are concerned. They certainly couldn't make this look much more like a fix if they tried.

I know. It's so strange to see the forum lambasting her for generosity to a competitor
Not when it's her own chuffing brother.

But, as Monkseal pointed out, there's a huge difference yelling 'undermarked' in support of a beginner getting into the mid 20s and one of the frontrunners picking up 37. Under marked? There were only three more marks available!
Considering they chanted it right into the camera... Their reaction when they realised the camera was on them seemed a bit weird though...

Can't say that I share their sentiment. They can't truely think that was worth 4 tens.

Not sure if I would call it unprofessional, but it leaves a very sour taste. Don't remember them doing something similar for someone who's not related/connected to them. But then, I doubt anyone would see their chanting as an unbiased sentiment.

Saying that, would you like to get on the wrong side of Jo and Oti? We might see Brendan walking gingerly next weekend.

I know it would probably make it more of a hunger games than a dance show,

Nepotistic bullying? Melodramatic much?
