Of course he is but he does get good partners aswell. He's long due a duffer.

You don't think the fact that he actually stands and counts Louise in so that he can do his stupid little kick is irritating? Or that a Clifton is nearly always featured in one of the pro dances as the main dancer? Or that he's never had a bad contestant yet when he's long overdue a duffer? Or that their AT was sexless and robotic but got 39? Or that nearly all the dances focus on how he can show himself off best?

you really should get your facts straight though the cliftons have been featured once as main dancers this year once for Karen and Kevin and once for Jo - it has already been stated on ITT that a different pro will be featured each week.

I really find it hard to believe anyone could get agitated by the fact he counts Louise in for a little kick. Bendymixer has replied re the main dancer slots and I didn't find their AT sexless. I enjoyed it. I don't think Susanna was ever thought to be good tbf, he may not have had a total duffer but he also hasn't had the best on every occasion. I would also disagree that his last few dances have been all about him. In fact didn't Len point out how he showcased Louise this week?
So, no, I don't agree with you at all.
Not only are Karen & Kevin not featured more in the pro routines than anybody else, they also haven't been used as the accompanying dancers for a guest singer yet.

I find him very pleasant & encouraging to his partners & as the above post says, he has that knack of putting them at ease by tapping into their own personality!!
A clever pro, a pleasant bloke, a good teacher, a great choreographer & a none too
shabby dancer!!

He counts Louise in to ensure she is on time, not so he can do his kick. Even good dancers can get a bit ahead of the music when the adrenalin is going. A lot of the pros count their partners in some form. It seems a bit unfair to take issue with something that is a fundamental part of good teaching practice. If he gets a less capable celeb, he's going to be doing a lot more counting for them and will probably irritate you more.
I think he has been showing Louise off well and people have already responded demonstrating that he is not the main dancer in the pro dances, but if you are focusing on him a lot in the pro dances you might be focusing on him too much when dancing with Louise and hence thinking he's not showing her off.

Bib he's never had a duffer. That's a fact. I'd like to see him with a Judy Murray type sometime to see whether he can cope with someone less talented

I'm talking about the bit during the introductions where everyone else just stands there moving to the music. He actually counts Louise in so they can time their kick for the end of the music. It's really sad and just attention seeking.

Agree with this - and wonder whether this could have been a reason (allegedly) that Louise asked to be paired with him. She's got a long and stable marriage and 2 kids - and the last thing she needed was the BBC (or the paps) mixing up some fake showmance. In this respect Kevin could only be bettered by pairing her with Anton.
Personally I've always liked Kevin (even if he is occasionally a bit over the top) and all his partners seem to flourish under his care, so he must be doing something right.

Of course not. I've never said that. Previous poster directly asked me how I'm related to the Cliftons, because I like Kevin and started a positive thread about him. That's what I'm referring to. Feel free to post whatever you want.
