He probably was a bit of a knob in the late 80's. I like him now too.

It's surprising how well these songs work re-imagined as acoustic songs.
I think it gives the songs a new lease of life.

I would say Cherisse is a brilliant drummer and gorgeous.....
The album is brilliant. U2 keep threatening to do a stripped back tour but never seem to get around to it. Simple Minds always reminded me of U2 in the 1980s and they suggest the possibility of what an arena band sound like stripped back. The music sounds really soulful at times. A deserved return to greatness.
