Sharon was so going to send Ryan home, all the lead in, because he had been bottom three so many times etc, then when pressed by Dermot she suddenly said Sam!

Nicoles face said it all, utter shock.

So what happened there then? Was it a mistake? Producers in her ear? We may never know.

It was just a bit of the ol X Factor "drama". It's got all you lot talking about it and all arguing about why she did it.

The judges are all told who to save and how to save them. They are all informed who is in the lead and who is leaving. There is nothing off-the-cuff or unscripted about the votes.

Does it matter???....it is clear who the top 4 is going to be...Saara and Ryan will be the next to go...

It was done to get publicity.

Because it's a total fix, sick of the whole of X factor these days!

Ryan should have gone and Honey g shouldn't be there either!

It was a bit odd, almost like someone told her to say Sam just when she was going to say Ryan. Tbh it was an awful sing off but Ryan should have gone, he just isn't very good!

If you think Sharon, Louis Walsh, Nicole and Simon who are all richer than any of us will be in our miserable lives and make business decisions everyday to increase their wealth...make "mistakes"...you are deluded sadly.

It's why I laugh at all the "drunk Sharon" quips. Do you actually think she would have any reason to be drunk on a show that earns her a small fortune for doing sweet FA?

Yep, Ryan should have gone. He reminds me of Angus from Neighbours. X factor is getting to be boring now..

I'm pretty sure they're all drinking. They drink something out of those mugs.

It loosens you up, makes you more entertaining. Being entertaining is her job.

Agree but people still watch it, and to the question who is voting for honey G ,answer simple the same muppets who vote for Ed Balls.

My fave are the posts from the Sofabet puppets, who revel in lecturing us all about how the show works. Why have an original opinion after all, when you can simply paraphrase a few lines of banal hogwash from another website?

Lol it's no good insulting some people as "muppets". Frankly I view anyone who participates in either XF or Strictly as muppets- or rather I think it is a bit rich to be condescending. You are voting on a reality tv show...you are hardly so much better than anyone who votes for ed balls or honey g.

Those 2 people are obviously jokes but they are not much worse than anyone else who enters these shows. They are all in it for the same things- money and/or fame.

Well if that was directed as a insult at me I can assure you every one of those words was my own.

And i'm not lecturing you just about how this x factor show works, but rather life. If you think celebrities do anything off the cuff on ANY of these types of shows...well get real.

If someone offered me a job with a salary of £1 million or whatever to sit on TV I'd sing the alphabet in german in my underwear if they asked me to.

I thought she was swayed by the crowd reaction maybe? I did find it kinda weird considering what was saying. Shame about Sam, but the show never really seemed to utilize her potential. Didn't think much of Ryan in the sing off. Certainly made me appreciate Liam Gallagher more as a vocalist though.

I can understand honey G wanting fame and fortune but mr balls has had his chance as a failed politician and with his wife still a politician they dont need th money, as they are all overpaid

Its an opinion.

The insight's positively blinding.

How very Freudian.

I dunno I think I'd rather have my views than thinking everything in showbiz land is real.

Do you get much stimulation from your copy of Hello magazine where you can revel at the marvels of Ms Price's latest venture?

By definition as deluded as those you seek to mock.

Not really I'm pretty sure there is more empirical evidence of falsehood in the entertainment and showbiz industry than not.

the script/producers told her too, in fact I don't think Sharon has made a honest decision since the LIVE shows

I reckon Sharon got carried away with herself and for a split second forgot the script.

It's the way she said "he's been in the bottom 2" then seemed to stare as if she was thinking "oh crap, I'm supposed to be saving him" so just blurted out "SAM" rather abruptly.

I don't know why Simon was shown staring up to the ceiling when he knew full well that Sharon was going to vote for Sam all along.

For a scripted show, everyone needs to brush up on their acting skills. Right now, X Factor is winning the award for Worst Soap Opera.

The difference being at least Balls tries to do the dance given as it should be done, whereas Honey G just raps her own thing whilst a version of a song to match the theme plays alongside her rap. Other contestants are told year in year out they have to try different styles yet she just does one thing.

she was definitely going for ryan to go home.....

I always thought Sam would go because the Emily v Ryan sing off wasn't achieved this week so Ryan has a job to do next week. so perhaps Sharon made a mistake initially or perhaps it was done for extra drama but IMO Sharon was very much "on script"
