Tess gets more robotic every week
Watching her tonight trying to show emotion was embarrassing. I thought the dance for basil and madge was lovely but I hated how she tried to seem emotional and just came across as fake and like her autocue had said show emotion. She always seems insincere to the people in the dance off. I feel she is the worst thing about strictly

poor Tess, she can do nothing right for some people. Can you not just turn her off and turn her back on again?

I wish she wouldn't address some contestants as "My darlings." She sounds like Charlie Drake.

Every time I start to resent the fact such a shocking presenter gets the biggest show in the UK I remind myself she put up with Bruce for a decade.

I'm not a huge fan of Tess. But it's great to see a female presenting team. I see Tess as the Ernie Wise and Claudia as the Eric Morecambe. At their best it's like seeming a couple of mates messing around, with Tess as the slightly bossy 'big sisterly' one.

Tess is slightly wooden, but keeps the show running smoothly.
I'd rather have her than a big "star" who thinks the show is all about him, when it's very much a collective show. |

We've said this before, she has developed the ability to "speed read and speak" the contents of the auto-cue. She had to be able to do that for years, to make up time lost by the old codger, with his faffing about, laboured jokes and general self-aggrandisement.
She should always be respected for that. But away from the auto-cue she's unable to "wing it" as does Claudia quite naturally. She seems very awkward at times and is prone to say the wrong thing. She is lately starting to remind me of Bruce with her unnecessary butting in when the judges are talking. At times her role seems much like that of the late Andy Stewart who was "brought out of the cupboard" to present on a big occasion, in his case just one show on New Year's Eve. As far as I know, she presents just two really big shows, Strictly and CIN. In those she's little more than a link. She hasn't the personality to command an audience where the presenter takes an important central role. |

Saw her live at the O2 presenting SCD / Sports Relief with Peter Jones/Duncan Ballantyne years ago.
She was dreadful and doesn't appear to have improved much over the years. |

Such vitriol ... All the years spent moaning about Bruce and now its Tess who gets the perennial jabbing.

The problem for many, as I mentioned weeks ago, Tess in some ways is morphing into Brucie, as he was in his last couple of seasons, not as he was in his prime. |

I can't bear Tess unfortunately. I am sat waiting to cringe at everything she says, and the way she says it. I am not just criticising for the sake of it. I just find that I can't watch the show live anymore, I have to forward her from a recording or using on demand download etc.
I am also struggling with finding Ed Balls amusing. I can't forgive him for his political failures, and being on the Gordon Brown gravy train of putting the UK in an horrendous position. I simply can't find him funny and haven't watched one minute of his performances ![]() I love Claudia and all judges. |

Despite all the advantage she had she was a non-entity in real terms for 15 years both of them are stealing a living from the tv taxpayer. |
