I think that the daily star is causing mischief somewhat.
The stuff Danny dyer said about Adam, Steve and benedict oh and him saving the show was said must be over a year ago at least. Not long after he joined I think it was |

Turns out that Danny Dyer is related to royalty and descended from a number of historically significant figures.
Can Steve McFaddan and Adam Woodyat say that? ![]() ![]() http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/articl...lty-yes-really |

I hope Danny Dyer is not that egotistical and that he just joking.
He said he was on his arse when they approached him, nearly skint and was making shit b movies and not being taken serious at all. |

Wonder if he's pissed off, maybe he's upset the Carters are no longer the focus and might not be under SOC or the media are just stirring things up.

Sounds like it, although his a tit sometimes, I wouldn't think he be this disrespectful towards his colleagues considering his been there 3 years, it seems their is tension behind the scenes! |

He's commented about Benedict Cumberbatch before. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Cumberbatch's success. As for his comments about his EastEnders co-stars, if he really thinks he's the best actor in the cast then he's seriously deluded. I used to be a fan of Danny Dyer before he joined EastEnders. I thought he was just playing up to his image but over the past 3 years it's become obvious the man thinks he's a living legend. Quote:

The Radio Times interview isn't even out yet so I'd prefer to read it in context before judging.

One presumes the press office at EastEnders sign off on any interviews their actors give which makes me doubt that this is anything more than Danny being a WUM as he has been in the past.
The Daily Star version (which DS have probably based their story on, I highly doubt DS are in the habit of buying the original source text anymore) have probably souped up light-hearted in context comments. No surprise to see who the OP is here or on WW. |

If true, he could only dream of being as good as Steve McFadden.

What did I say in the other thread...exactly that has happened.
I hope SOC kills him off for his remarks just to prove that he isn't bigger than the show and that the show can easily go on without him. |

Having suffered his attempts at acting in EE I dare anyone not to view him as anything but amateur hour.
I think Danny's a decent actor in spite of the rut he had found himself in before EastEnders. A protégé of Harold Pinter, some of his early roles were critically acclaimed. In the few years preceding EE there's no doubt he'd become less choosy about his work. I think his well-received on the whole and against type portrayal of Mick has been good for him in terms of getting him out of that rut. Given that everything he says will go through the press office at EastEnders I'm taking this with a pinch of salt in how it's been presented by the Star. This wasn't something that was overheard or came from an unnamed 'source' close to him. It's a proper interview. If, when published on Radio Times online, it comes out that he did say it in anything other than a jokey context then I will criticise him for it. I won't call for him to be sacked, other actors have done worse and not been, but I'll acknowledge that he's been foolish and should apologise to his cast mates. For the moment though, given it's the Daily Star & Danny Dyer, I'd prefer not to read too much into it. |

Danny Dyer is clever enough to know that airing controversial opinions = more publicity, which in turn = £££
Even if it is a joke, I can't imagine Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt would be happy about this. |

the Carters have been past their sell by date for the past year or so. And to think, when they first arrived I thought they were a breath of fresh air. Still like Linda - but with her six months off ...
