The contestants know
Cosya

They are going.

I think Gifty was telling the truth that she was told on the Sat she was going. Looking at Sam tonight all the way through she just didn't look happy at all. Even in group sing off. Was like she knew she was going.

I think they all know when they are booked to go. The show lost all subtlety years ago.

How would they know?

The way they attacked her for a decent performance whilst really bad acts were getting praised by the judges would have been a clue to her.

Ashame though as she could've done White Rabbit with this theme, or Decode.

She was quite obviously expendable to the producers. Everyone and their dog knows they are pimping a Matt/5am/Honey final and the Ryan/Emily relationship creates headlines.

Saara should probably keep her bags packed.

They were more critical of Emily to be fair. Sam was the favourite to go so that's probably why she was deflated. Everyone said on here that they gave Emily unfavourable comments to push her out. Now Sam's gone the story's changing. This sort of reasong is called posthoc justification.

When I saw Sam's face during the results show, I said that I thought she knew she was going and I was right. She looked very unhappy. It is a crying shame that Sam is out of the show. I think that she was one of the best contestants and last night her singing was outstanding. I have watched the X Factor every year, but now even I think it must be fixed. Why on earth hasn't that dreadful Honey G gone long ago? I have yet to hear her sing a single word, she has only spoken words of songs and she is such a big-head as well. It is not fair how the contestants are being treated and this year it is showing more than ever.

Honey G is like an Internet meme come to life. She's just a silly in-joke.

I wouldn't say they know, I would say they strongly suspect.

Like how when someone has it in for you at work, everyone of your colleagues who knows about it is evasive around you and avoids answering your questions until the boss has sat you down and talked to you. I imagine the production staff and backstage people and maybe even the judges were like that, and talkative contestants like Gifty and Sam would have noticed a difference in how they were being treated that night.

You've hit the nail on the head here! Suddenly the atmosphere around them changes voice coaches and the other production staff seem to spend less time with them and have little interest or investment and staff become reluctant to make eye contact in the week prior to the Sunday elimination

How can you say her singing was outstanding?

She was flat all the way through her sing off song.

She was in the bottom 3 last week and then received poor comments from 3 of the judges on Saturday. If she'd looked at social media there was a lot of negativity towards her song choice. That would probably have been enough of an indicator to make he worried about leaving and to perhaps prepare herself. I don't think the fact she looked worried about leaving is a conspiracy. I think Emily also looked worried throughout the show.

You have to remember on here, the X Factor is run by an elite group of bankers and it's all a conspiracy to plan a police state and put us into FEMA camps.

They wouldn't. The voting is audited and one thing you can be sure is correct is the vote counts. It's possible that before they go on they are told they are likely to be in the sing off but that's all.

Her face was exactly the same last week when she was saved by the lifeline vote.

As if they 'know' they are going. This seems to be this series' new conspiracy theory.

They all 'think' they're going when they're in bottom 2 /3. But that should go without saying.

BIB - And most of those words consist in spelling out her name. Very profound.

The only two acts to have outsung Sam in the sing-off in this series have been Saara and Freddy, and ironically she didn't lose to either of them in the judges vote.

Yeah, I agree. They don't know ahead of time. For Sam, she was the bookies' favourite to leave.

But that's only because most of the sing offs have been rubbish. Sam was flat as a pancake throughout last night.

I thought last night's sing-off was okay from both Sam and Ryan to be honest.

Maybe it's because I'm comparing it to Bratavio and 4OD I don't know.
