  • I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
Day 1 - 5 thoughts
who, me?
13-11-2016
1. My heart sank when I saw the line up as had hardly heard of any of them.
2. However, I think they have potential - loving Scarlett and Joel.
3. Did you know that Larry Lamb used to date Lady Colin Campbell?
4. Carol may well annoy me.
5. Might just prefer eating kangaroo anus to Aunt Bessie's 'food'.

OP - I can honestly say that what is now considered as a "celebrity" I wouldn't have a clue about - but I did know most of them. Celebs today are classed as such not because of their own achievements but their bottom of the barrel infamy. This lot all have their own achievements & are not there for bottom dwelling

I thought it was one of the most boring opening episodes ever
Might have just been my mood!

1 Great opening show! Enjoyed the cast as a whole and there's nobody I immediately dislike
2 Love Carol already! She's definitely my favourite and she comes across so down to earth.
3 At the moment I can see Lisa and Wayne slipping under the edits compared to the bigger characters
4 I completely regret my prior opinion of Scarlett, she was hilarious tonight! Definitely in my top 5
5 I'm already looking forward to the rest of the series

1) Brilliant move not to split the camp
2) The three stooges could be great together
3) It was lovely to have an upbeat opener rather than the 'drama' of the last few series
4) LARRY... LARRY... LARRY...
5) Speaking of Larry, he's fitter than me and he's over double my age!

1) Brilliant launch, been bored of IAC the last few years, this cast might have won me over.
2) First time in a long while where I'd have been like 'no forget it' at a trial (the heights one to save their partners from a bushtucker trial) especially when it was wobbling.
3) LOVED the on screen duo of Larry and Scarlett and hope they share more screen time.
4) Lisa Snowdon seems like the obvious background character and first boot campmate, but hopefully she steals some airtime.
5) I hope this show turns Joel Dommett into a star. He was so witty and on it tonight, Scarlett seems an obvious winner but I would be all for him challenging.

It's great not to have a camp full of those middle aged parental types that want to control everything so...
The camp might actually be fun this year.
Surprised that I know so many of them.
No hysterical attention seekers...yet.
They seem to be a team already.

I'm quite surprised to like Adam!! Not fond of his Emmerdale character (so, I guess he must be doing a good job of it's portrayal), and I didn't like his brother in Love Island. I love his laugh, very infectious, and he seems a sweet, positive guy.

1. I do like Ola but I don't believe she was afraid of heights, she would never have done that city challenge if she was.
2. Same goes for Joel, he was whinging and moaning about the trial then did it no problem.
3. I like them at the moment.
4. Less animals please, not more.
5. Loving Ant and Dec.

1 Ola wasn't screaming about heights like I thought she may
2 Liking Carol
3 Bring back Lady C
4 Shame it wasn't a busy show
5 Somehow cant warm to Larry

1) Found the whole thing a tad repetitive; same skydive orientated task as last year, same splitting of the campmates into two teams... etc etc. All seemed like they were running out of ideas for the launch show. Or maybe just saving their best ideas for later on in the series!

2) Liking Jordan Banjo. He seems very down-to-earth and a good guy.

3) Scarlett Moffat was funny but I also found her a tad creepy- I think that's because 90% of her looks fake!

4) Carol Vorderman claims she "has had no plastic surgery". Yeah right!

5) Ant's new 'trendy' beard. Not a good look, Anthony.

1. Nice to see them all getting along on the first day, you see CBB/BB it can be done

2. No silly drawn out 2 camps twist.....at least not yet anyway

3. Sense of togetherness and team spirit

4. Good cast overall, no obvious look at me i'm fick/mad me types going for the camera time, again at least not yet

5. Feel good opening episode, yes they can be done CBB/BB

4. Looking forward to the 2 late entrants already

1. Liking the campmates getting together from the start.

2. Scarlett's voice is annoying me already.

3. Liking Larry even more than i did before.

4. They all get on so well so wondering who is going to be the first to bite at someone.

5. Hoping for some new trials this year.

1) Loving Joel already, he could be a dark horse for the win. I also think Sam has a shot at winning
2) Pleasantly surprised with Ola, she seems to be doing well, Larry too.
3) Carol & Scarlett are going to get on my nerves.
4) Lisa seems to fade into the background, may be first out, similar to Susannah.
5) Dear God that city plank thing was terrifying, I felt really sorry for Carol, Adam, Joel, Ola and Jordan then.
