Well Hello everyone

The delights of Blackpool week awaits The unravelling story of the dances and songs can be found on cwickham's excellent thread.

For me this week the judges will be key - who they can manipulate..er..score into dance off danger and then ultimately save their fave. Think Ed will defy again and live another week and perhaps Greg would be saved over Judge Rinder in a B2, the Judge who on the other hand may score too high with the public to land in the B2...
This week is gonna be very interesting...

OK put your bucket and spade, stick of rock (it'll only rot your teeth) and those fish n chips down for 2 minutes and get started guessing already OK?

Way too early to predict anything yet.

Danny may end up being like Ore, in that he may not be able to pull off a Charleston?

Afternoon all

Ok here goes

Highest
Louise and Kevin ( I think they will just beat Danny's Charleston )

Lowest
Ed and Katya

Bottom Two
Greg/Natalie v Ore/Joanne ( though Judge Rinder is a possibility )

Eliminated
Greg
( although I think Judge Rinder will be eliminated if he is B2 with Greg - Judges will save the sportsman over the better dancer )

His Charleston should be great as long as his swivel action is flowing. Loads of potential for 10s methinks.

I think this is a tough one, because things like flying or bad use of extra dancers can really ruin a routine. I think Danny and Louise are safe but I don't think anyone else is.

Highest: Louise (super camp Stictly Ballroom 2 Kevin paso scoring higher than charleston that going on the music will be more sophisticated, less seaside postcard)
Lowest : Ed
b2: Greg v Judge
Leaving: Greg

I think Jo having ballroom at Blackpool will save Ore this week and he'll benefit from only him and Greg having ballroom and I don't think it's easy to sell the salsa in that big space. But Blackpool is a really difficult one to call.

Going to make a big call.

HIGHEST: Louise/Kevin AND Danny/Oti to both get 38

LOWEST: Ed/Katya, around the 25-26 mark again

BOTTOM 2: Ed & Katya and with either Ore/Joanne or Rinder/Oksana

ELIMINATED: Ed & Katya

If they don't fill his face with ginger pubes and make him shove lollipops down his y-fronts, he has a headstart

I don't know who will be bottom two but I don't think that it will be Ed. I really think that he will win. Apparently he's 'entertaining'.

If - and it is a very big if - Ed and Katya end up in the borrom 2 I feel sorry for the other couple.

The judges would automatically eliminate Ed, and can you imagine the boos from the audience when they do? As I say, it would be a shame for the other couple, whoever they may be.

Unless the other couple falls on their faces or forget their steps, it will be fair to eliminate Ed and Katya. Ed is the weakest dancer left in the competition. At this stage in the competition, it should be the good dancers left. Just my opinion.

Too early to say until we know what dance Ore is doing - if he's doing quickstep then I think he could well be pretty close to the top, but if he's doing something like the VW then maybe not so much.

Ed will be bottom though - Greg is the only other person likely to trouble him and as he's got Quickstep the Nat should make sure it's good.

Once we know what Ore is doing, I'll be back to predict.

I'm curious why no one thinks Claudia will be near the bottom. I just wonder if she may be fading a bit. She's had a couple of slightly uninspiring (although technically very good) dances. However, having the jive may well be a great number for her - the smaller, more compact dancers tend to suit it, and it could be her dance, but I'm expecting her to fade before someone like Judge Rinder (who has a 'cheeky salsa' so they can camp it up as high as Blackpool Tower!).

For me, Ore could be in danger, if he has a bad week, but I genuinely think he's got the performance to make an impact - looking at the list of dances, there are barely any classic ballroom dances this week (Greg's got a QS), so I'm putting my money on Ore with a gorgeous sweeping ballroom number, well suited to the Blackpool floor, and a resulting high score.

This week is a really tough call - Greg is a near certainty for the drop, but it genuinely could be any one of the others (except Ed!) as a shocker of a result. Looking purely at the dance list, Louise with a paso stands out as a potential danger dance for her - it's a very exposing dance, and I just don't know if she has the forcefulness to power through those solo sections with any real conviction. Also, I hate to say it, but Kevin makes me cringe when he does that dance - it's not really his dance either! He definitely suits the 'lighter and brighter' dances!

I do not disagree with you at all. My thoughts were that Ed is so obviously the public's favourite at the moment, that I pity any other couple in the DO with him when the audience reacts.

Has anyone ever been booed on Strictly? I think Ed would get huge cheers and stamping, really intense response, but booing someone else is a different thing. I think even the most dedicated Ed fans would feel that once he doesn't get the public vote then it's fair enough if he goes. I think booing - or more likely gasps of shock for this audience - would be when someone who is obviously the much weaker dancer were saved.

We don't know which Dance Ore has got this week, so how can anyone say he'll be in the bottom two this week

IF Ore is back in Ballroom this week, then he'll stand a good chance of topping the Judges table

IMO the ones who are in danger of being in the bottom two this week are...
Greg, JR & Ed.

Greg doesn't seem to have the hardcore public support, Ed is getting a lot of negative press coverage this week & Karen made her opinions heard last night on ITT about his dancing skills... and JR, he needs to stop answering back at the Judges, the public doesn't like this even if he is in the right as he comes across as being smug.

Highest contender between Danny, Louise and ore but I'm going to go with oti and Danny. The Charleston historically scores always high on this show.
